Italian midfielder Matteo Alberti has left the Club by mutual consent with immediate effect.

The 23 year-old, who joined the R's from Chievo in 2008, has had his contract terminated.

The Club would like to wish Matteo all the best for the future.

Another who contributed nothing last season and, therefore, wouldn't this season. Thank you and goodbye...

Hopefully one more in a long line to leave the club permanently. Never good to have so may on the payroll when there is no chance of playing.

    :emoticon-0106-cryin NOOOOOOOOOOOOO :emoticon-0106-cryin

I cant take it. For over two years Ive lived in hope of seeing him grace the Loftus Road turf again. He had the touch of Messi, the finishing of Linekar, the passion of Terry Butcher and the....aaah who am I kidding, the boy was decent at best but I just had a completely unjustified soft spot for him.

Good luck Matteo. All the best.

Also usually it's me and WBA that express our love for Alberti. Where is he?

I can't believe you lot are slagging him. The kid was young, moved to a foreign country and was managed by dowie!!!! Christ even Ronaldo might have packed it in.

That day at forest I knew we had a diamond, subsequently had his career destroyed by that joker Sousa.

A real shame and he was such a nice kid. Signed my shirt at Barnsley a few years back.

He was a good player but not destinted to play premiership football. Hope he can kickstart his career elsewhere.

Oh, something you may or may not have seen, Arsenal are sniffing around Daniel Pajero. He was the 18 year old we took on loan from Real Madrid 5 years ago and Arsene is prepared to pay £7 mill for him. YOu have to give the youngsters credit when they try to cut their teeth at a young age, in a foreign country.

From what I saw, he was actually good and could do a job. Good luck to him.

The sad thong about Alberti di carmine Parejo etc is that they were at the club when flavs hiring and firing was destroying any consistency in squad selection. I think if Gigi had stayed then they would have featured a lot more and had a better crack of the whip.

Sousa dropped Alberti and the kid hardly had a look in

Whatever their strengths/weakenesses they're gone, no room for sentiment at this level. I don't think signing Pajero will have the Arse's fans swooning with delight somehow...
