Oh no, not for me thanks! IMO we need a CB with a fair bit of pace about him... Morgan and Wasil aren't the quickest!
Liam Moore is the perfect mix. Just the experience side of things he will get caught by at times. But aslong as Big Wes is playing then Moore will be fine I cant wait to see Wasyl play against some of the fairys.
Don't really see this as a 'Nigel' acquisition ... although he did have a good season with Brighton ...
Totally forgot about him. Though if I remember correctly (there is a good chance I haven't!), wasn't our main CB at the time a relatively young Jack Hobbs? That was a sensible acquistion, to partner him with a more experienced head. Already have Morgan, him and Moore would be quality at the back IMO.
We signed Wayne Brown in League One. I agree with Jack, we need a centre half who can shift. I say we look into getting one of the Chelsea lads on loan. Either Nathan Ake, Tomas Kalas or Kurt Zouma. All look to fit the Nigel Pearson bill and would all be excellent loan signings. Kalas has played a few games recently and has looked very handy.
I still wouldn't say no to Michael Keane. Did well for us and also at Blackburn. I know he is young, but seems to have a great head on young shoulders. Not afraid to get stuck in neither
If we're looking at loan signings, I know he's not a centre half, but after the FA Cup final I like the look of Yaya Sanogo if Arsenal get another striker in.
Please buy players that will perform in the prem. We have a really good foundation at the club, although I don´t think it will be good enough to stay up as it is tbh with you all, but if we get the right players in we can really have a good run at being a prem regular.
I'd agree with this, but with Liam Moore, we already have a young player that can progress into the team. Im totally undecided on Upson, we are going to be the QPR of the prem next season with all these old defenders.
Experience is useful as we found out with Phillips and GSL. We are linked with Adam Cresswell apparently http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ransfer-news-and-rumours-for-summer-2014.html
You mean Aaron Cresswell? I've always rated the guy, even back in his Tranmere days. Would be a good signing I reckon.
Confirmed on sky sports. Had no idea he is 35! From the experience point of view having played at the top level and in a World Cup it's good business. Not sure whether or not he will still be up to pace with premier football though but only time will tell
Looks like we have him on a one year deal (so no big risk there) needs to keep proving himself like Wasyl ... was Brighton's 'player of the season' .. he was very good in his prime and certainly provides some much needed Prem experience in 'squad' terms ... and with younger legs around him could yet be a bargain ... http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/11232590._/
Not totally sold on this signing if I'm honest. I guess we didn't have any "Premiership experience" in our back line, but thought we could have done better...
Hes Brightons player of the year, so hes still got consistently good performances in him ... although saying that, Bakayogo was Tranmeres poty too ...
