Probably League 1 standard but look what happened with Steve Morison for Norwich

 

Indeed. imo. The goal he scored on saturday against Bristol City was class. Tubbs scores alot of goals from distance which is no mean feat in itself. I would suggest maybe 500K and offer Harper would clinch the deal. Then again Harper maybe the deal breaker. But deffo worth a punt. imo. 17 goals so far this season Tubbs has scored.

Tubbs was prolific when he was at Salisbury. Crawley took a punt on him and he has carried on his good record. We will have to be very wary of him thats for sure.

 

Well Nick can take a close look at him in the Cup game and then sign him up afterwards. Tubbs would be a shrewd signing and not overly expensive either. imo.

Did City not do something similar when Craig ***an played and scored against us for Colchester Utd in the Cup a few years back ?

 

Tubbs has 17 so far this season. The latest being the winning goal against Brizzle in Crawleys FA Cup win.

 

I had a 12 year association with Bognor Regis Town as secretary and football sec. During this time I contacted City on a number of occasions about players I had seen in the Conference South when the club was in that league. Freddie Eastwood was one. I also contacted them about a winger at Hearts called Templeton who is very hightly thought of. I never received a phone call back and I dont think City ever looked at them. I took a lad called Jason Prior from a club in the Wessex League to Bognor two and a Hlaf seasons ago. After a couple of games he was placed straight onto a contract. He scored 94 goals in two and half seasons, up until just before this Xmas. He is now on a two week trial at Newcastle United. He wont play for Bognor again simply because other clubs are waiting in the wings to see what the outcome is from his trial. I didnt bother contacting City because it just seems to be a complete waste of time.

He was a decent player when he first came. Citys mistake was taking him back from Derby.

 

Just hope he doesn't do an 'Emile Sinclair' on us.

Just as a matter of interest for anyone remotely interested in my post above. Prior played in a reserve match for Newcastle against Wigan this afternoon and scored the last goal for them in a 3-1 win.
