Good move if we can see it through. Would be a massive improvement on Wilbraham and it's someone the players already know. Would be welcomed here with open arms.

Nah, I wouldn't have gone for that, bin there, done that, move on....Yes did well for us last season (league one)....don't we need to aim higher? Also I felt made us play the long ball game,,,,,,yes an option but I'm not a fan...Just my opinion!!

He was a hero for us last year and as shiny said, he would be our younger model Wilbrahimovich

You do however have to wonder why he isn't playing regularly at Championship level. People seem to forget that before he got his dream move to Leeds, the highest level he had played in was league One

Generally, I am not one of those who say that a player can't achieve more but he would have to be playing for me...

I'm not a massive Matt Smith fan. Yes he scored crucial goals in the JPT but I'm not sure how or if he would work with Kodjia.

I liked Smith, but he was a SC signing. Not sure if he would come to us without knowing who he would be working for.

He looks like he's running through treacle to me.. But I think he can score goals and would be a good foil for Kodjia..

    would be happy with that..

Also bothers me that he either doesn't settle wherever he goes, or that he simply isn't good enough to hold down a full time starting place.

To be fair when you have the two lads upfront Fulham have, you do not require matt smith.Their front two imagine them in our team we would be well clear of relegation.

    I like big Matt

I have said on this board before that I think he would be a perfect foil for Jimmy Kodjia

he did good here but had something to prove and it was against much lesser opposition, went back to Fulham and was in his comfort zone, although I think he had an injury kept him sidelined for a month???
would I buy him? no would I loan him same terms as last season yes

I don't know if Fulham's transfer embargo actually makes this more or less likely - if the numbers are right then yes, get him in. I'd like to think that he's got a fondness for us that could work in our favour if he has multiple suitors.

He knows the way we play,he knows many of the players here,he can score goals in this team.
Think he will need to drop his wages.
