Sky have said Bolton are closing in on Mills for 2M. They seem to think its a permanent deal not a loan we all was led to believe. Good move all round and with Sol Bamba gone aswell Nigel will start to go for replacements http://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/jump?http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11712/7859054/
2m from Mills and 1m from Bamba. Are you thinking what i'm thinking? (No, Hull fans, this is not an invitation to start another 8 page boring argument )
hasn't NP said he won't pay inflated prices for players - so unless it's an international player to justify 1.5 million, will he even try to go above 1 million - time for your scouts to earn their money by looking at say Belgian or Swedish (get better value there) top division clubs for suitable candidates.
Nigel dont mind spending a bit more on some players but only if he feels they are worth it. But he wont go ott
Don't they teach maths in Leciester? Matt Mills Cost £5m Sale £2m = Loss £3m Bamba Cost £250k Sale £750k = Profit £500k (less 25% sell on) = Overall Profit £375k Overall Loss of £2,625,000. Having said that the fee you get for either or both is irrelevant. Thing is, if you are prepared to pay £5m for Mills and Chezzy is better than Mills (if he isn't how come you alway VVank yourselves silly over our player?) then you will have to bid more than £5m for him. Old Sack Face is as tight as a gnats chuff, will offer a ridiculous fee of £1.5-2m tops and will be rejected out of hand and will go elsewhere.
fees received this season: Mills £2m Bamba £1m which makes £3m .... no your right, the money generated this season through the sales of those 2 players is negative, clearly we paid the clubs to take them.
So what's your point? That the amount you have to spend this season is limited by the players you sell? Why bother mentioning it, I thought your owners had a bottomless money pit? However you want to dress it up the result will be just the same.
Strov, I bow to your intimate knowledge and experience ... as far as the goat goes that is - I'm sure it must get very cold and lonely on those cypriot hillsides ... as to Chester bids etc if, as has been reported, he is Perason's top target then Nigel will just have to pay whatever the market dictates - as long as this is not daft and our owners back him ... if the boy is as good as Nigel appears to think, then one impressive season could well double his value in these crazily inflated times ..
AKCJ ... are you reading that 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' book by any chance? .. I'm sure there is a chapter on that...
A 3million loss, aren't Championship clubs only allowed to recieve a 6m loss this season - surely you will go over the limit
Pearson has made £3m that he can spend in the transfer market, the owners wont take that money back and hold Pearson responsible because Sven spent too much. Tbh, Mills is still a great centre back, £2m is a steal. Bamba for £1m though ... even though he was flakey, he could have still got us more money, then again, its not like we need it.
Why bother mentions it ? Why do you bother coming on here sticking yer ****ing oar in, we didn't ask you so sling your hook
