Matt Mills told Ian Stringer there was no bust up between him and Nigel. He said he got dropped for the Norwich game which he understood because he said he knew he didnt play well in the last match against Watford. He said after the game he asked Nigel what he needs to do to get back into the team and Nigel told him. Matt Mills then found out he was available for loan and he was banished from training with the first team. He said he worked really hard in training and said all the rumours that he didnt turn up for training, refused to play for the reserves etc. was all wrong. He said he never got the chance to put things right after because Nigel was a very hard man to locate and he couldnt speak to him. He said Sean St. Ledger had a simaliar problem but because we ran out of defenders St. Ledger got another chance while Mills didnt. He said he found it hard to take that in a space of a week he had gone from club captain to being available for loan and not allowed to train with the first team. He said he didnt want to go out on loan because he felt it would have been disrespectful to the fans for the club captain to leave like that and said he didnt want people to think he was sulking and threw his toys out the pram because that couldnt be further from the truth. One thing he did say is he like to be very involved with decisions and likes the argue with people. He said a few of the players came to him with problems which he took to Nigel. I think that is the reason there, I think Nigel felt Mills was trying to run the team and he was undermining his authority. I doubt Nigel will have his say unless he thinks what Mills has said is nowhere near the truth. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18740580
credit to stringer for going tup north to get the interview.. but it takes two to tango in these situations to get anywhere near the truth...nigel don't dance.. he will have to justify this major loss to the board though..I suspect mills knows he has a free unchallenged hand here....there is always two sides to every story, alas we will only get one...
Mills looks whiter than white from all that then. Just like when he argued his innocence to the ref after all those unnecessary fouls he committed.
NP took the decision to practically banish Mills - You don't do that to a valuable company asset lightly and without good reason - Like others have said Pearson is too professional to play things out in the media - I don't buy the above account
Hes unlikly to say "i wish Leicester all the best, but their managers a cock" This is pretty much a nothing story as alot of it doesnt add up.
what happened to him doesnt happen unless you are a grade A. No matter what you accept your managers words- he is above you. From that i take that Mills didnt like being dropped and also tried to be too involved in the running.

Generally, I thought Mill's spoke well in the interview and tried very hard to come across as being a 'resonable guy.' However, some of things he said just didn't add up. Firstly, players aren't generally asked to train with the youth team just because they have a bad game. 'Why didn't you talk it through with the manager?' 'He is a hard man to find at times' Really! Had he relocated his office to Timbuktu?
I think Pearson felt that Mills was trying to run the team like John Terry was accused of at Chelsea so Pearson got shot of him
Nigel said he doesnt see the need to get involved with what Mills said But he said he wishes him the best
well, we all bow to your expert knowledge on cocks ...you clearly have more experience of them than anybody on our forum..
