I read through the transcript of this earlier today. I'll admit I was a bit concerned about what might be put across to Matty but I daresay KM filtered out a lot of trash. Judging by some of the comments that are put under the articles on the site, my dear life what are some of those people like? I actually find it physically painful to read some of the stuff. If you're looking for a WUM you'll find them there. Still back to the topic, I thought Matty came across very well. Good job. It's nice to see a bit of interaction with the fans. Must be a bit daunting.
Gemini - this raises a serious question for me. I didn't really take much notice at the time in regards to where the link was i.e. KM. I stopped reading some of the trash or wums as we call them via these newspapers along time ago. However, can some one answer this, why do we take part in any sort of business with any media publisher that allows such comments on their site. Now you could state freedom of speech etc, which I'm all for but I bet if I posted any of that stuff on my own website or even on not606, then the club would probably come down on me like a ton bricks. As I say been a long time since I've read the rubbish that goes on there, or am I thinking of the wrong newspaper?
You're thinking of the right paper. A lot of the stuff written is disrespectful, distasteful and down right disgusting. I think the site get away with it as the comments don't represent the views of the newspaper but I am no (to use a recent phrase) legal eagle and don't know the ins and outs. Many comments are deleted from the site but there is nonsense written there daily. I actually like the stuff the paper writes it's just a shame that they allow the BS to be put on there by people that are pretty much anonymous. I am so glad that this board is pretty much WUM free.
