    According to rumours on Twitter-not the best source i know-Arsenal have made a firm bid for Matias Suarez of Anderlecht.

    forward / winger, 6ft tall, 23 years old. 25 goals in 96 appearences for Anderlecht - bit better than 1 in 4.

    he's 11 in 24 this season tho - so almost 1 in 2!! he signed for Anderlecht in 2008, so if he hasn't signed a new contract there's a chance he'll only have 6 or 18 months left on his contract :)

    This has been rumoured for a while - I think we've been following him all season along with other clubs.
    What I don't like is that he'll be 24 before the end of the season and has been in Europe for 4 years, his name hasn't come up as a gun player before and he can't get anywhere near the Argentina team, is he another squad player or will he really be an improvement on Gervinho because if we're buying him he'll have uses beyond February.
    In an ideal world the arrival of another forward could indicate that Chamakh will be offloaded, but I'd need convincing this guy is an improvement...

    remember chamakh scored a fair few the season before we bought him as well, in the french league, which is better than the dutch league where m suarez plays

    Looks decent .... but are we sure he will be able to handle all the black players that would be around him at Arsenal ? If he calls Song a negro because it is a term of endearment he'll probably end up with an extended stay at the dentist !!! :wink:
