Which of these do you think will be successful and which will turn out badly?

    Man Utd and Moyes
    Man City and Pelligrini
    Chelsea and Mourinho (2013 vintage)
    Everton and Martinez
    Stoke and Hughes
Sunderland and a full season of Di Canio?

I'm not sure any of them will improve on what they already have.

    1) Difficult to say. Obviously won't be able to match the best manager the world has ever seen, but will probably still be title contenders.
    2) Not sure how good this guy is, but I imagine they will be in Europe easily without threatening the title.
    3) I bet Chelsea will be title contenders next season.
    4) Not certain this one will happen but will probably do a little worst than they did under Moyes.
    5) I cannot see a happy ending in this scenario. I doubt the fans will take to him, and they will probably be battling relegation.
    6) I imagine Sunderland will surprise a few, certainly can't see them being in the bottom three.

    1) Moyes will carry momentum into next season. His second season will be more interesting as he will then need to have completed building his team.
    2) Not sure -depends if team knuckle down. However if reports that they got rid of Mancini are true Pelliginni will battle not too allow a Chelski to emerge where players have more sway than the manager.
    3) A disaster. Abramovich wanted Pep, left with Mourinho because no other person would touch the job. Battle for control from the off.
    4) Generally Moyes' Everton got off to a slow start and then improved over the season (last season the exception) so no change with new manager. Will do ok without setting the world on fire.
    5) Not sure. Hughes is definitely in the last chance saloon as a manager. If he has learnt the lessons from QPR - build on a squad slowly and get the right characters rather than listen to agents will be ok.
    6) Be amaxed if di Canio lasts the season.

Man Utd and Moyes: Good start as players aim to impress, but trophy-less and 4th place
Man City and Pelligrini: Absolutely no idea - guessing similar to Man utd/Moyes
Chelsea and Mourinho (2013 vintage): Champions and FA cup runners up
Everton and Martinez: I have a good feeling about this - will finish above Liverpool and win the FA cup
Stoke and Hughes: Amazing start of and feel good factor then free fall as Hughes' management is finally found out
Sunderland and a full season of Di Canio? If the guys he brings in can deal with his ego then mid table

Good question. 1. Think Moyes will do a job but may fall short of the title next year
2.Could work if he can man mange, the team on paper is the best in the league
3.Think this could work and will make the league more interesting
4.Potentially very good but a hard act to follow
5.Relegation and he won't last the season
6.Something will blow up and Di Canio will be gone fairly quickly. He is a lunatic, maybe the ground should be re-named because he has taken over at the asylum!

I think Martinez will do really well at Everton, I'm wondering if PL now wishes he'd stayed another year with us, I think Everton and he would have fitted well together!

Man Utd and Moyes - Fifth position with a weak team
Man City and Pelligrini - 2nd and well clear of 3rd
    Chelsea and Mourinho (2013 vintage) - 1st
Everton and Martinez - 8th but much better to watch
Stoke and Hughes - fourth bottom Hughes is also a bit of a long ball merchant (or "direct" as people in this country like to say)
Sunderland and a full season of Di Canio?- 2nd bottom, rubbish players, old, expensive one dimensional wing playing flops

Man Utd and Moyes - Think they will be top 3 but not winners
Man City and Pelligrini - could end up third
Chelsea and Mourinho (2013 vintage) - May win it; i hope not and live in hope of a Chelsea implosion as Mourinho has become increasingly graceless.
Everton and Martinez - mid table, i reckon
Stoke and Hughes - could go either way.
Sunderland and a full season of Di Canio? I think a full season will be a misnomer.

    1. In my view Moyes will be judged not on the coming season (unless it's a total disaster) but next season or even the one after that. Managing Man Utd is about knowing when top players need to be replaced, finding those replacements and plotting a course through the Champions League. For me it's about judging when e.g. Evra and Vidic have peaked and need to be replaced, and making sure that those replacements are brought in early enough. They'll be Top 2 next season I think, but it'll be after that when Moyes will start to earn his corn.
    2. Unknown quantity for most of us I suspect. My hunch is that he'll struggle a bit domestically because he has no experience of the English game, but will do better in Europe than Mancini. Might be vying with Spurs and Arsenal and Liverpool for 3rd, but quarter finals in Champions League.
    3. Has the clout to attract the players he'll need, and will have the money to get them. Power struggle with Abramovich, but if he's still there at Christmas I can see the title being between them and Man Utd. Will get them to at least semi finals of Champions League too.
    4. Seems like a good fit. I wonder if it'll take a season to get rid of the players he doesn't want and get in those he does. Might have to settle for Top 10 rather than Top 6.
    5. I think Stoke will struggle and Hughes won't be given the money he will want. Can see them having a tough season, though I think they'll probably survive.
    6. God knows. Can't see them being higher than mid table.

I rate Mourinho don't get me wrong. It's Abramovich that's the problem there. The number of managers speaks volumes. The trouble is Mourinho doesn't need Abramovich but Abramovich needs Mourinho. In that situation a megalomaniac is never going to be happy.

1 jury out - do they have a definition of success for this experience

2 How long has he got? Impatience will outlive planning for the future. Not sure players are up for it

3 I think we'll see but he has successful previous - so well

4 well - most confidence about this one. Martinez has confounded expectation. If he has it behind him he will flourish

5 A disaster - Hughes is a disaster, the team is a potential disaster waiting to happen. Just a disaster!

6 A madcap twelve months ahead! Need new players though

Man Utd and Moyes: Depends a lot on how much time he is given and how much Fergie sticks his nose in
Man City and Pelligrini: He'll last this season, but if he doesn't win the league/champions league he'll be gone in summer
Chelsea and Mourinho (2013 vintage): He'll be no more or less successful than Benitez
Everton and Martinez: No telling. He's never really had decent players or money to work with
Stoke and Hughes: He couldn't do it at Fulham, Man City and QPR when he had money so I doubt he'll do anything at Stoke
Sunderland and a full season of Di Canio? Relegation if they continue the way they did at the end of the season
