Anyone know how Sporting are lining up? Looks like a lone striker but I'm curious about the midfield. I missed the first few minutes.
Feels like I'm talking to myself ATM, but watching this is like watching a game from the 70's, tackles flying in, no whistle, brilliant
Yeah, the ref is hardly keeping them on a tight leash, lots of tackles flying in. Not a lot of chances though.
A very limited view of him, but his control from one of the throw-ins and then through ball showed how good his touch is and he obviously has a bit of vision. It was also good to see that he could play back to goal, but his touch was good enough to be able to about turn and get a shot away. Wn a clever free kick from Luisao as well. But as above, not much of a display unfortunately
Sounds like he'll be prepared for the so-called toughest league in the world then. Perhaps they're just referring to Suarez's teeth?
I watched most of the match and it was a bit like City at Old Trafford, but there were some glimpses of what RvW can do, even when he is alone against 3 or 4 defenders up front. Still very optimistic about him.
