For the third game of Giuseppe Sannoni's reign as head coach Queens Park Rangers make a small journey fromwest London to try and give him his first defeat in English football. They bring the most difficult defence and the sixth worst attack of the division, so perhaps few goals in this game.

Gary O'Neil for Yossi Benayoun - 72.mín., Armand Traore for David Hoillett - 79.mín.

    Recently

The Neil Warnock version of Rangers won their last match in Watford by 0:2, to seal promotion to the Premiership, after Watford had given QPR a smack in a televised game earlier in the season. The last match at Vicarage Road had goals by Adel Taarabt and ex-Hornet Tommy Smith. On that day QPR ended the match with three former employees of Watford on the field, Tommy Smith, Heiðar Helguson and Danny ****tu who appeared after 23 minutes as a substitute. The hosts do have a better record in recent encouters with QPRs win in the last visit the only time they have left Vicarage Road with a point in the last seven matches.

Austin is meant to still be injured so I would get your money on Watford to win to nil.

Nice touch linking to the QPR board, cheers. I'm guessing Watford fans must be pretty pissed off with the season so far, I had you down as the best footballing team in the division and thought you'd be right up there. Plus I like Zola.

Signs of a turn round? Best time to play us, we struggle to score and the previously rock solid defence has begun to leak. But one day, hopefully tomorrow, the undoubted talent in this team will click.

    Enjoy the game.

Im certainly not pissed off. I thought we greatly overachieved last season compared to expectations. I started this season with an open mind, we could have followed on from last season, but I am happy with any top 10 finish. We are still a work in progress and have yet to find our best form this season. I do agree its a good time for the two teams to meet, it will offer a good test to us whilst also allowing for improvement and potentially a goal or two.

This is one of the most difficult games to predict, but I hope our boys are thinking positively after two damaging results.
I think the Rs will scape out a 1-0 win.:1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down:

Hopefully we'll see the same team that beat Millwall - much more positive and attacking with pace.

Of course you QPR guys will be a much tougher test.

Nice one AK - 5 *'s from me. Difficult game tomorrow and a real challenge. I will go for a 2-2 draw.

Likewise not at all pissed off. We're still playing good football and the expectation behind all the bravado is still a realistic one, all wins gratefully received. I'm disappointed Zola has gone but also realize he'd come to the end of his tether and in both his and the clubs interest the situation couldn't continue. A win tomorrow will make me ecstatic as always, the stupid pleasure I get out of the orns taking 3 points is always up there with any of my personal achievements in terms of gratification...

It's nice to see supporters with patience and happy with good football. We don't have that at the moment even with the decent league position - lots of moaning (I plead guilty) about lack of style, discontent rising now we've started losing too. But thats QPR fans for you.

It's because in the main they're misguided glory hunters who have an illness leading to a belief that the inhabitants of Steptoes yard are a first rate team, said glory hunters have a niggling realization that they should be supporting Watford in many cases their local team, personally I can't stand QPR... they're on a par with Luton, ok that's an exaggeration but not far off the truth in my league of hate.

    How about this:

    Tales From The Vicarage

Sobering post-Christmas fact: this season, Watford haven’t beaten a team from the current top half of the table. So beating QPR today would be a fine first

    A real test.......

Don't know why, but I think that both sides will have someone sent off today.

I'd like to get my 3-0 home win prediction in before it's too late. Without Austin we are not a good side at all and Redknapp refuses to play to our strengths.

Thanks for the thread Ak, a great one as ever :)

This is going to be a tough test but i'm hoping that after the whopping we gave a 10 man Millwall, despite this being much harder, hopefully the team will be far more confident than of late. We are completely unpredictable this season, but Sannino seems to be saying all the right thing, so, though no miracle worker, the changes are already showing, and hopefully they will have some effect today. Obviously, i predict a 3-1 win for Watford...but then, when don't i! ;)

Ah, Redknapp - he's a terrible manager and has been for the thirty years he has been in club management - I don't know how he has lasted this long.......
