Swans vs Canaries Liberty Stadium March 29th, 3 pm Last week the early bird did catch the worm So this goes up in good time before the storm Again this weekend one more vital game After the Cats, we´ll want more of the same We meet one of those who accompanied Us up to this level on their fiery steed And though we are guests at their Liberty No law says we must sit back politely Lately when visiting on weekend trips We´ve unfortunately left generous tips So irrespective of how kind our hosts May be, it´s time we began laying those ghosts Firstly, Herre Laudrup and now Mister Monk Have tried to ensure that Swans won´t be sunk And so far so good, although some reports Have begun to suggest some creaking of sorts And as an aperitif to our match Tonight they meet Arsenal on their patch Whether the outcome will boost them or not Should not affect how we approach this a lot For our record against them is as good As any, so no need to hide ´neath our hood Even the one point here would nicely do While Swansea will probably want to add two But if we could take all three on the day How it would help in our battle to stay Naturally as a diehard Canary I´ll be rooting for us to pick up three But come the final reckoning in May I hope both live to see one more PL day. Well done RBF, like you, I hope we both stay in the prem, but lf we can gain all the spoils it would make me happy!
Me too Dave, and now would certainly be a good time to start improving our away form, but we do tend to get on well with Swansea
The rabbits foot is in the bin and I'll even risk walking under the odd ladder, RBF's thread shall sweep us to victory! Bah!
Don´t fret Thai, even I can´t see my lucky charm working until the end of the season, you´ll soon be back in business again
Given our away record - I am thinking next weeks match thread mate. In the meantime I am undergoing counselling and therapy
Despite our good form against Swansea over the last couple of years, Saturday's win and Swansea's poor form, I really can't see us doing much better than a draw. We are far from safe, but there will be that edge to Swansea's play, like ours against Sunderland, that shows a real desire. Given our away form, unfortuantely I can see this being a carbon copy of our win on Saturday, only Swansea doing the winning. I really hope not. Don't know why I think that, but I feel like Swansea have a good performance left in them to keep them up and we might well be on the wrong end...
Just been on the Swans forum. They are practically suicidal - looked at their fixture list and it is true that I am almost grateful for ours in comparison, but I think most teams in the bottom seven or eight are still fretting as to where points will come from. Swans will be ok IMO, would be a shame to see them go down (unless it keeps us up...)
You never really know with us, or the Swans for that matter! We've both had the odd decent result where we've played well, rapidly followed up by absolute shockers!
True! Much as I'd prefer Arsenal to win the title than the other three contenders, I'd also quite like to see Swansea have their good game tonight and save their poor performance for us on Saturday!
Don´t actually think there´s very much between the two sides Rob, the fact that they´re at home will give them an advantage but it´ll probably still come down to who wants it the most. We´ll certainly be going Ãnto it on a head of steam. What they´ll be going into it on, we´ll know later tonight.
