Not sure if we generally do them for Cup matches, but it´s here for anyone who wants it, and anyway I seem to remember the last time I did one of these, we came away with a good win, so see if I can´t wake them from their slumbers again. We should bury those From Bury and close Their Cup adventures for this year, But oh dear, these nights Do often bring frights When lower league workers appear It´s part of the game And always the same When Premier teams are drawn at home, That those with no shout If we don´t watch out Can spring a surprise when they come And Mr. Blackwell At Leeds for a spell Will be telling his folk the same, With nothing to lose They´ve not much to muse About, going into this game While here at our end A good win would send Us happily on to the Saints, Where, with a repeat Three points on the sheet Would leave most here with no complaints With some still to blood This year, ´twould be good To see Hooper, Bassong et al, As part of the team Who go out and - roll Bury, and be sensational With Luton in mind We shouldn´t be blind To just what can happen sometimes, But if, in this fray We turn up and play Then hopefully everything rhymes. Well on recent year´s form I shouldn´t be too overworked then, was rather fancying a long Cup run this year, but after seeing how ´well´ Swansea have started, I´m not so sure now.
That's true but they were against two big teams and the Swans coped quite well with their European opponents!
lol, I think any performance would be an improvement on that, "Luton Town became the first non-league team to knock a top-flight side out of the FA Cup since 1989". Not a record to be proud of CH! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21095990
@NorwichCityFC: #ncfc team v @buryfcofficial: Bunn; Martin, Bassong (c), R Bennett, Olsson; Snodgrass, Fer, Johnson, Pilkington; Hoolahan; Elmander. That's a better team than we played at the weekend.
Look like a good team we're putting out and giving some players a chance to get some match fitness. team v @buryfcofficial: Bunn; Martin, Bassong (c), R Bennett, Olsson; Snodgrass, Fer, Johnson, Pilkington; Hoolahan; Elmander
Who is on the bench ? P.S. Unsurprisingly I can't find a stream of the game anywhere from the usual suspects, anyone else had any joy ?
@NorwichCityFC: #ncfc subs v @buryfcofficial: Nash (GK), Whittaker, Turner, Howson, Redmond, Becchio, van Wolfswinkel. Good luck lads!
Well that team SHOULD be far too strong for Bury but no doubt Hughton will flood the midfield and play one up front all game just to make sure we don't lose
I really don't get people whining about playing one striker, it's a formation/system that can work well.
Ordinarily I would agree, however we are playing League 2 (Division 4), Bury this evening with all due respect to them. After Saturday the crowd will want to see flowing attacking football and plenty of goals. Somehow I doubt we will see either but I hope to be proven wrong.
