The Match Thread Leicester City v Watford City welcome the Hornets. The travelling folk of Hertfordshire are travelling up the motorway again. And the Blues entertain the Yellows. I am a bit early wit this but I am away from tomorrow until Tuesday. Leicester City please log in to view this image • The Manager – Sven Göran Eriksson, after the Reading match. please log in to view this image “It has been a problem for us this season that we haven't scored enough goals for the chances we created and that was the case today.” “It is very difficult for us now (to make the play-offs), but mathematically we still have a chance so we will keep fighting for it.” • The Foxes Nothing to report. Yet another club that keeps quiet. I think I will give up trying to report on the opposition . • The Fan – Emilio_Heskeynho Yes, had we got promoted it would have been near a miracle. But we are quite a long way off that standard. We are not close just because we are in the top half. We looked pretty close at one point - but the team we have now is the one Sven thought was good enough. And it isn't, not nearly. How can you possibly think we are close after today? After the Norwich game? After our form the last 2 months?. Update on the Leicester’s latest statistics WATFORD please log in to view this image • The Manager - Malky Mackay please log in to view this image “I was so proud of the players today, I really was, as a manager and a coach, you love to be involved in these sort of games - and I thought the players took to the task fantastically well today." • The Hornets Stephen McGinn is the only player on the long term injured list although Ross Jenkins may still be keeping hin company. • The Fan – haznev Good luck to the new consortium. Let us hope they will be good to their word re funds for development of pitch, east stand, etc. Cannot help but think that the Russo Brothers are lurking somewhere in the background, (not that this is a bad thing), but time will tell! The backers for Bassini will have to come forward at some stage, I guess, for I doubt that Mr.B has enough cash of his own for all of their plans. Certainly interesting times lie ahead, but this is not unusual for us fans of WFC. Stand by for the next roller coaster ride! Update on the Hornet's latest statistics Who will win? Current form One win two draws and two defeats in their last five matches has not been good for the Foxes’ promotion push, although nine goals marked and eight conceded is a bit better reading. They have also only managed one win in their last five home games. Watford’s last five matches away from Vicarage Road have also produced one win but the last five games have only produced two draws. Akureyri's Prediction: 1-3 Watford’s recent poor results on their travels will come to an end, too late to get into the play-offs but it will mess up Leicester’s final push. There is a history The last match: Watford 3 – Leicester City 2: In another game where Watford looked to have snatched a draw from the jaws of victory Danny Graham arrive with five minutes to go to get all the points for the locals. Leicester must feel bad as they dominated the shots tallies and were equal in the other departments. Further into the past: Filbert Street and the Walkers Stadium are not generous hosts to the Hornets. Leicester have only lost three of the twenty five matches with nine draws. The best total of goals was a cup match in 1936 when Leicester won 6-3, Watford managed four in 1993 but did not win, the result a 4-4 draw. I go to visit friends tomorrow who live a long way and can not do the text on saturday night or sunday.
Is anyone planning to go? I'd like to go but don't really want to go on my own...and my son is doing his "i hate away games" thing lol
I can't be bothered with Leicester and wouldn't want to give them my money. I'm going to Barnet instead, where there is a game of "do or die". Sven and Yakubub and the knowledge that Milan Mandaric made money out of them. No thank you.
i'm going now ...bought the ticket. i quite like the trip to Leicester and i'm taking my youngest.she loves hotdogs
Now that Leicester like us are out of the Play Off race it will assume "end of season" status - probably quite a few youngsters and experiments
They were unlucky to lose to Forest and will prob want to take it out on us! I think we might be able to hit them on the counter! Sordell has raw pace that could upset them !
Maybe not if he picked up a knock ,on a selfish note we want him fit for qpha !for dannys vest day! wouldnt be the same if he wasnt playing! Fo rMonday play Sordell and Deeney in position ! maybe in a 442!
Ooh that's a scary thought! Though it'd be awful if he didn't play the last home game of the season. Though he did give the crowd a clap today...uh oh!
As people are gearing up for another footy day ,please take time out and spare a thought these folk. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13185570?
Will do Norway. Have you ever seen the film Gallipoli? So moving. What happened there was tragic, and should never be forgotten.
Jenkins out for the season then. I for one didn't think he could play alongside JE, that they were too similar. I think that without him though we are missing something and the options are rather limited.
