This is plan B if 606 closes The Match Thread Ipswich Town 0 v 3 Watford The Tractor Boys play host to the Hornets. The Blues tackle the Yellows and the 15th team plays the 12th. The travelling folk of Hertfordshire are off to Suffolk. IPSWICH TOWN • The Manager – Paul Jewell “We dominated the game for the first 10 seconds!” “In the second-half, they put us under pressure but they didn't cause us too many problems. I thought Gareth McAuley was excellent and we showed a lot of resilience.” • The Tractor Boys Marton Fulop Gareth McAuley Damien Delaney Keiron Courtney Dyer for Lee Martin Andrew Drury Grant Leadbetter Carlos Edwards Jimmy Bullard Mark Kennedy Connor Wickham Jason Scotland for Tamas Priskin Substitutes: Arran Lee-Barrett Tommy Smith Jaime Peters Darren O'Dea Luciano Civelli • The Fan – YorkshireHampshireIpswichTownLondoner - Winger "On the pitch it was a game of two halves - Town thoroughly outplaying Leeds in the first half and Leeds equally dominant of Ipswich in the second. Not a day to remember save for Dyer returning, but even his performance was sadly not memorable either." Update on the Tractor Boys' latest statistics WATFORD • The Manager - Malky Mackay " The fact that we were able to keep doing the same things, to keep plugging away for the second 45 minutes showed a great understanding and appreciation of what it is to be professional footballers in an unusual situation." "Yes it was Danny on the spot again, and I'm delighted with his all-round game, not just his finishing, which has been exceptional - but I was very pleased with how we created the goal and the number of players who were involved in moves throughout the match." • The Hornets Scott Loach Adam Thompson - caution Martin Taylor Adrian Mariappa Lloyd Doyley Matthew Whichelow for Will Buckley John Eustace - caution Ross Jenkins Don Cowie - goal - 90+1.min Marvin Sordell for Troy Deeney - goal 3.min Andreas Weimann for Danny Graham - goal 62.min Substitutes: Rene Gilmartin Dale Bennett Piero Mingoia Connor Smith • The Fan – fresh from upsetting the Steptoes Mitch_wfc "Forget about signings/non signings, who does and doesn't play, tactics, lack of experience, forget all of that for the moment. If you actually sit back and try to see and appreciate the way in how Malky has motivated, instilled confidence and made these players all sing off the same song sheet then you really do get a sense of how Malky has done such a stirling job as manager.” Update on the Hornet's latest statistics Who will win? Current form Ipswich’s better results since Roy Keane left have taken a bad turn recently with one win in the last six but four wins in the last ten makes better reading. 16 goals marked in the last 10 games look good until you see six were scored against Doncaster Rovers. Watford are slowly recovering their form from December but with draws and not victories. Four matches unbeaten but only two wins and five draws in ten matches is not so impressing. 12 goals is good and 13 against is not. Akureyri's Prediction: 1-2 IpswichTown’s poor form against Watford will continue and the visitors will return home with the points There is a history The last match: Watford 2 – Ipswich Town 1: In a game where two goals from Stephen McGinn and Marvin Sordell immediately before half time gave Watford the points to take them to third in the division. Ipswich’s goal came from David Norris in the second period as the Tractor Boys worked hard to gain something. The worry for Ipswich was Watford had two shots on goal and marked from both where they had three and managed one goal. Further into the past: Ipswich and Watford have met 28 times at Portman Road in the league. The first match was a FA Cup game in 1936 when the locals won by 2-1. The following year Ipswich scored a 5-0 win, their best. With all the success Ipswich have had hosting Watford they have not won at home since 2004. Last season’s 1-1 draw had something very special, a goal from Nathan Ellington wearing a Watford shirt. And a final note, the visitors have never won a cup match in Ipswich. On My Radio: If you cannot get to the game, BBC Radio 5live and BBC Radio Suffolk will cover the game. skál/skÃÂ¥l/cheers/salut Don't forget The Hornet's Nest on the BBC’s 606 or not606 Drop in for some match chat. Travellers may want some information about Ipswich. If this does not work well I will make a short version in the usual place.
I do not think so. Frú Ak complains and so does Little Ak. This thread was a big effort as the BBC version is all set out but I wrote this from an empty sheet of paper.
Well done, ak . At the bottom of the page is "HTML code is Off". Does this change if you become more of a 'trustee'? I am but a lowly 'Newbie' ;-). If it were to change presumably we could use our articles from the Beeb straight in, is that right? Late night, yorkshire ;-) ? Not a happy Mrs SLB at the mo' :-(.
Hi guys My wife has told me where "I" put the tablets.. so have eased off a bit on that count. I must say Norway it was your helpful comment yesterday which brought on hypercondriacal enteretis... only cured by knowing where the tablets are When the match is on I shall be fast asleep... I hope! So no worries in Suffolk
I do not know SLB. I would liek to use HTML as I am used to writing that now. SLB what is a tagger, you have a blue flag for being one? I noticed I put the league seats very wrong so changed them
I did fall into a deep sleep after it got to 2-0. Arsenal seemed poor to me. I am still not sure what time zone my body is in ... and curry after curry eh.. My appetite love it but my gut is not so sure
No idea, ak. Apparently I am also "on a distinguished road" . They were poor, I agree, yorkshire. I think Man Utd have looked fairly average this season a lot of the time too. I thought Chelsea were going to storm it this season, how wrong I was. The Arsenal midfield is excellent, Wilshere and Fabregas are superb, the best in the Premiership by a country mile for me, but the Gunners lack so much elsewhere.
Yorkshire, go to 'Settings', signature I think is the thing at the bottom, I have to say I hate them ;-) but that's that I think, and then the picture is 'Edit Avatar'. I think the picture is a maximum of 80x80 pixels. I changed mine via Apple software - I don't know how to do it on a PC.
Yorkie, If you go to SETTINGS at the top right of the not606 screen. Then on the left about halfway down is the MY SETTINGS section Choose EDIT SIGNATURE for your tag line or EDIT PROFILE PICTURE for a photograph from the Profile list. Then save it. Easy.
I have just tried to upload a lovely ram.... but it just didnt want it .... thanks guys will keep trying
