The last four league meetings between Wycombe and Colchester have ended in 1 - 1 draws. The Chairboys will be aiming for a third home win in a row, a feat they’ve not managed in the third division since November/December 2001. The U’s will be targeting a third successive league win for the first time since October/November 2010. Wycombe will be buoyed by their last two home results: a 5-0 demolition of Hartlepool followed by a 4-2 win over Leyton Orient on Tuesday. Colchester will also be brimming with confidence after a 3-0 win over Preston, followed by their excellent midweek 2-0 triumph over Charlton which ended The Addick’s eighteen-match unbeaten run at The Valley. It’s sure to be a lively affair, but who shall emerge victorious? good write up mike.i aint got a clue what the score will be ,we can score goals but we concede them by the bucketload.lets hope for a good game,ps and a wycombe win
I’m hopeful that if we play as we have done in the last two games we should beat you, but that’s a big if! Alas you lot always seem to throw a spanner in the works these days, so a 2-2 draw will be my prediction.
Excellent post Mike, my how you've mellowed. Depends on how JW sets the side up, 4-5-1 ?, boring draw, 4-4-2 ?, good open game that could end up 3-3.
Maybe Waddock will bring in 4 loan players. Failing that, I've been investigating some very strong bellows and if we can hire a few people to stand with these behind our goal it might help to repel attacks.
apparently when Col u fans heard that Katy Perry sing, "do you ever feel like a plastic bag" they thought it was about them.
We've had some good results at home but this will be our toughest game since the Huddersfield mauling. So its a hard one to call and once again depends which Wycombe team turns up. The Col U boss said the other day that he's confused by our recent results. Well join the club mate!
Good first half but sounds as though Colchester are getting on top. Has 2-0 written all over it (to them)
Wycombe back on top but sounds as though both teams will be happy with the draw. Well done the Blues. Much better than I expected.
