I was having a closer look at the League table, particularly with a head to head as far as Oldham were concerned. Our goals scored is 20 against Oldhams 18, they have 22 goals conceded against our 26.

That led me on to look closer- On the positive side, only 8 sides have scored more goals. Crewe have only scored 12 so have a massive goal difference of -19.In addition, the team in 5th place (Brentford) have scored less. (19)

We have lost 6 games. The same number as the teams in 8th and 9th places.

On the Negative side-I don't need to tell you that few have conceded more. Tranmere 28 and Crewe with 31. (Yet we couldn't score). The teams in 2nd place (Wolves and Peterborough) our fellow relegation teams have conceded 8 and 9 respectively. Orient have conceded 11 off set by a massive 33 goals scored.

Pretty easy to see where the problems lie or have done. Once we can get to concentrate fully for the whole 90 minutes and get a few clean sheets I can see that a good foundation is being laid. The next 10 games, 7 of which are at home and 3 against sides immediately around us, will give us the answers.

Back to the Oldham game for a prediction- looks like it should be an open game with goals. 0-0 then.

When you look back at the season so far. The amount of games you can say "if he didn't do this or if he didn't do that" we wouldn't be where we are now.

Bradford. If fielding never came off his line

Coventry If fonts didn't let the ball bounce and if flint didn't bring the player down

MK Dons Fielding should of really done better

Gillingham if Baldock didn't miss that sitter and if we put away 1 more of the all so many shots we had

Port Vale if only flint hammered it out

Crewe if only wagstaff didn't stick a foot out

That's 12 points there on just silly silly indivudal errors. Add that to our points now and we would have 21 and we would be 6th and in the play offs..... but we're not!!! Still though a long way to go yet and we can string a few wins together

If we can win tomorrow (irrespective of the score or performance) it might convince people like me that we really are turning things around.......

Win tomorrow - keep the momentum going - 7 of the next 10 league games are at home.
