Too gutted to report at length except (and I never thought I would say this) probably the best side on the night won.

The game started at a frenetic pace and there was little constructive football for the first 20 mins. Both sides struggled to settle and to be honest Argyle never got a grip throughout. We looked more promising and carved out a few half chances as the first half continued, Reuben hit the bar and there were a couple of speculative shots from range. No sure why but the Exeter defender decided to dive to concede an obvious handball and penalty which reuben duly converted. So half time all was well despite an only average performance.

Second half we were just too deep and defended poorly. Wotton, Young and Hourihane were all less effective than they needed to be and a couple of defensive errors led to the Exeter goals. Going forward we showed very little other than reuben who tried probably harder than anyone else.

I guess it was just an off day all round and sad to say exeter seemed to want it more.

Not sure where we go from here, perhaps a change of formation again? the only saving grace is that we are still only 3 points off they play offs but it now pretty much out of our own control.

Decent crowd except the poor showing from Exeter who brought less than a thousand and a huge police presence to control the knuckle draggers in block 14.

That's me grumpy until next time and no match on Saturday to turn things around.

    I agree with the above.

IMHO Reid should have been MOTM, he worked hard and threatened numerous times. I felt the rest of the team were below par second half - I will pick on Nelson and Blanchard particularly for under-performing.

At the end of the day we let Exeter play second half and as you say Lyndhurst - the better team won.

I posted a thread previously and to be honest I can't be arsed to post again. If anyone with technical experties wants to transfer my post to this thread then be my guest. It was pants and Exeter got what they deserved as did we.

Sensible this is the Devon Derby thread and you want someone with technical expertise:huh: Tracdor tuning tips we would be flooded with <laugh>

Most of the time living away is a curse but tonight I am sooooo glad for it. By the sounds of it our 4 fingered, web footed, incestious, intelligently challenged, inbred, bin skimming, rat eating, nonentities of bottom feeding amoebas have defied all laws of physics and the universe in general and deserved the points tonight so I will be gracious in excepting our defeat.

Well the opinion seems to be that they wanted it more than us !!!

How the hell could that be......a play-off place at stake.....a Devon derby at home......revenge for a 3-0 drubbing at St James's....how could they want it more than us ???

I reckon there must be a DNA deficiency if that is the case....how...how...how.... could we be so inept in front of 13,000....it baffles all logic.

I think the fact of the matter is that we are much improved but still not quite there, especially without Alessandra (most people's player of the season already, including mine) and McCormick (probably the best keeper in this division by some way). We're lucky that Reid has gone on the rampage in the last couple of games but he can't do it alone.

If we hit our best form again. if Alessandra is available and back up to speed before the end, we may still make the play-offs and perhaps even get promoted. Failing that, Sheridan & the club have to get busy over the summer to make sure we start 2014/15 with a stable squad, with no short term loans, and try to make sure we begin next season in the top 5 and not the bottom 5 as we did this year.
