0-0 in front of a crowd of 6130ish (I counted 37 away fans) pretty much sums it up. Accrington were one of the worst so called professional football teams I have seen at HP and the fact that we couldn't beat them speaks volumes.

To be fair we should have /could have been 3 or 4 up by half time and if both Morgan and Reid had converted their 'easy' chances (sitters) then everyone would have been so much happier. Very little to say about the football match except, numerous misplaced passes, lack of controlled aggression and woeful crosses all combined to make it a frustrating afternoon. However I do have a few points:-

1.The crowd became very negative after we had failed to score in the first 30 mins. Having watched Argyle for nearly 30 years I was equally frustrated by the performance but booing a misplaced pass when the score is 0-0 is bound to have a negative affect on the players. yes I know people are entitled to their opinion but booing during the match doesn't help anyone except the opposition.

2.Wotton was my MOTM just looked a class above the rest- I was surprised he started (i wouldn't have picked him) but to be fair he had a great game.

3.Highlight was Luke M forcing a save out of their keeper- okay, his goal kick bounced once and their keeper had to catch it just under the bar.-wouldn't surprise me if he scored this season.

    4. I would have the finishing 11 start the next match, Luke Young, Tyler Harvey and Andre G all deserve a start and the team looked better with them on, although Reid and Harvey might be a useful combination as Morgan appears to have lost it completely.

Finally, to those you were there and then found it necessary to hurl abuse at the players both during and after the match , why bother going? If a point a home upsets you that much then I think yr expectations are set too high. Yes it was a poor game /performance but it wasn't a 3-0 defeat!

Thanks for the report lyndhurst. I think you last para is lost on here because I don't think there are those that boo and quite a few who can't go anyway. I had a medical reason that I couldn't go and it wasn't by choice. I don't boo ever when I do and neither does any of my party. Not many who sit around us boo either.

If this was a game of misplaced passes then it was simply a carry forward from the last home match where they were as bad as I've ever seen them. Morgan is a mystery. He was like bambie on ice but with velcro feet at first. Now it doesn't seem to be going for him anymore. So we could have and should have got a result against that lot but didn't. It doesn't augur well does it. I'll be back when I can but not exactly looking forward to the football bit.

Hope you feel better soon. It was poor today but not as bad as some on other sites are claiming. Had we scored a couple of the early chances, everyone would be saying we are only 3 points of the play-offs! I just don't get the point of abusing your own players-it ain't going to make them play any better. I suspect we will end up where we are now in mid table obscurity and after the last couple of years that might not be a bad result.- 'every points is a prisoner'

To be fair I'd take halfway house this season and that was as bold as my prediction would be at the start. I just don't want another struggle and it's worrying still that they can play better away than at home. They need to entertain their home support because that's what pays the wages. They haven't been and people are becoming more and more frustrated which I guess leads to the booing.

I've never believed in booing at a match. I also think it's counter productive and does nothing to instill confidence in a team that lacks it in the first place. But people pay their money and are entitled to express their opinion however they want even if we don't approve.

Had a great day out at Broadstairs.....walk along the coast to Ramsgate and back......sat in the sun on the beach for a couple of hours..... before having a great meal.....then letting British Rail take the strain home.

Turned the computer on and had my day spoilt by toothless Argyle...only drawing against the bottom club in the whole league.......how and why is this happening ..... why haven't we brought some quality loan signings in....it is getting obvious that we need them.

This new stadium will soon be too big for PAFC to ever fill......CHADWICK is fit again.....surely we're not going to see him start a game soon....give me strength please someone.

There was a short debate a week or so ago about whether there was still a losing mentality at the club. As far as I'm concerned, with a new owner and financial stability, wages being paid, a new manager, new coaching staff and mostly new players, it's difficult to see where that mentaility could be hiding.

I didn't mention it at the time for fear of starting an old argument, but having heard booing at half time at the Fleetwood game, you have to ask, is it the fans?

I think Sheridan has to mix his team selection up: maybe Blackman and Gurrieri in the wide positions and Young in midfield even if that means dropping Hourihane.

Where did Wotton play? Centre back?

Possibly because of an injury to Berry... notDistant...and therefore a bit of reorganizing ?

Having not had the fortune or maybe misfortune to see Argyle play in person this season...I can only trawl through all the opinions that are posted on websites and from journalism.

My own views are as follows and mean nothing in the real world wherever that is regarding PAFC.

Hourihane seems to be a permanent fixture...I do not understand why.....team captain he is not capable of being....mid-field is not producing any real umph to proceedings and Hourihane is always there.....until his reckless challenges bring him a ban.

Some fans ask why Hourihane and Alessandra are playing together in mid-field so regularly.

Branston seems to becoming a worry of late say many...making mistakes and with poor distrubution of the ball

A question mark against Reid and Morgan starting every match......are they not too similar maybe and give no other approach but the same style always.

I note a few people mentioning Sheridan's body language in recent games....especially yesterday......more sitting in the dug-out than usual....not on the edge of the pitch shouting his instructions anymore.....is he not having any new in-put...but the same failing approach ?

Some say he might walk-away or that he might be replaced.......I cannot see that happening......why walk-away from a 3yr contract when we know that Brent is not in the business of sacking managers on a whim.....the Fletcher saga tells you that won't happen.

Others noticed yesterday that in the second half it was Accrington that showed more fight and passion than Argyle.....this is a team that has lost six on the trot and had only 1pt until yesterday......why do Argyle seem so easily down hearted when things don't go well for them...which is becoming the norm.

Worrying yesterday with Wotton on the field that know one could kick start proceedings and get some sparks flying......Wotton seemed to have a goodish game as well....where was Hourihane in all this....getting a low vote on pasoti's man of the match voting.

That pasoti man of the match voting was an eye opener........home game against the poorest team in the league pyramid and only three players got decent votes.....all defenders.....McCormick,Wotton and Nelson.

We are well into the loan window and most Div 2 sides have been bringing in experienced players from higher league teams.......Sheridan hasn't brought anyone in....maybe he's tried but we haven't heard about it.

We certainly need bolstering up with some more skillful players.....last year it certainly helped us stay up......it's not because we don't need strengthening.

An attacking mid-fielder.....a genuine winger (it worked last year)....and maybe another defender.

Next week we are away to Exeter....we need a performance....it is a local derby, so that shouldn't be hard to do should it....hopefully.

Think you are right NDG it is the fans fault ...... how dare they work hard all week, only to hand over their hard earned money to go and watch Argyle play and have the audacity to complain when they see just a handful of players actually putting in a hard graft, players I might add probably earn more money per week than most people earn per month ! If you or I performed badly at work we would be held accountable so why shouldn't they ! Argyle are lucky they have such loyal fans who turn up week in week out and without them this club would have gone under years ago ..... I don't thank Brent for saving the club that was down to the fans who again handed over their hard earned money every week to keep it afloat until Brent could work out how many millions he could make by paying a poultry sum for a club ! .... Yes you are right NDS it is the fans fault .... not !

Only 6180 turned up this week GAT....even for the chance of seeing Argyle thrash the lowest team in the League pyramid.

My biggest red light warning will be if Sheridan turns to fit again Chadwick to solve the goalscoring problem......that will make me wonder that Sheridan has no idea how to kick-start Argyle into winning........on paper Argyle should be no worse than top ten.....honest.

Sensible I hope your medical problem is not a serious one, for missing the chance of seeing Argyle thrash the League pyramids lowest club.....maybe you would of been in worse condition if you had gone along....so count your blessings.

OR.....was your medical condition caused by Mrs sensible getting her own back for the Gecko incident.....women have long memories over things like that.

I recall Andy Capp remembering something Flo had done twenty years before and him reminding her of it when it happened again.......I hope your Mrs's is't like that for your sake sensible......how is she in doors,..... finger healing..... okay I hope (for you).....fancy laughing at her predicament.

Glad to see Wotton getting back on track....was there any frustration between him and other team members as this would indicate there is a big problem? Hopefully he can influence all to pull together or else Brent needs to act one way or the other!
