Here's KingFut's quick match report on the Egyptian Tigers http://www.kingfut.com/2013/02/12/e...-on-home-debut-for-hull-elmo-gets-the-winner/ What'd you guys think of the boys?? Gedo Gedo! Elmo Elmo!
Gedo sounds really good. Will have to wait tell the game is on the clubs website to watch it to see myself. The commentators were raving about him so he sounds like a quality signing.
I think all three are brilliant additions to our team. Elmo has been great all season...fantastic crosser of the ball...nice goal to win the game today. Gedo is what we've been missing up front...physical...good speed...great header of the ball...as we saw on the tiening goal. I've said it elsewhere but I think Fathi will prove to be the best of the lot. He has everything. Can't wait to see him in a Tigers shirt. Hope SB starts him against Charlton on Saturday. Thanks for the match report and all your past information on these guys!!!!
Personally thought that Gedo made everyone else look ****. He was absolutely brilliant. The 2nd half was so different to the first, and Gedo looked immense at times, for me.
His movement was brilliant, he dropped deep when needed but most importantly he was brilliant on the last man on the counter. Linked well with Elmo to. A goal was what he deserved and he should have had an assist if Prossy could finish!
Before we signed Gedo and Fathi we had 15,000 facebook followers. Now we have over 41,000 including 2,000 that followed the club today alone. Great potential here for the club.
I like the look of Gedo, aggressive which i like to see, he also had good movement and his link up play was good, now we have to get the right partner to go with him
Agreed completely. He was making runs in behind the defence which obviously leads to goals but also takes pressure off everyone behind him. If both your strikers are just holding it up on the edge of the box it's just a massive congested mess of bodies in a 20 yards radius and no one has time or space to achieve anything. Gedo stretches the game which is one of the things we are ****e at.
It was incredible tonight to be honest, after watching a first half with Koren & Simpson looking as poor a strike partnership as I can recall having played for us in the second tier we then see the introduction at half time of Gedo and Prossie, the difference was absolutely amazing, and Gedo looked every inch the international striker that he is. His movement was superb, he took his goal with great aplomb and he actually made Prossie look like he could do a job with him in a partnership, which is incredible in itself. If this is how Gedo plays when he's not fully match fit I really cannot wait to see him when he's up to speed. Allahu Akbar!
Proschwitz's miss was embarrassing. It sums City up this season. It was one of Elmo's worst games for City. They doubled up on him and he never got going. Plus he was at fault for their goal, but he popped up when needed and got the winner. Great celebration as well- you could sense the relief. With Gedo we might just have a striker on our hands. Very promising.
I liked Elmo in the post match saying that he knew that Gedo would score coming off the bench, Elmo said that is what he does.
Elmo's interview was great. He kept saying things were 'velly good' like a Walton Street lucky lucky man and at one point he made some bizarre wobbly lip noise a bit like Boss Nass in Star Wars.
I thought Gedo and prossie looked good, had Simmo and koren still been on neither of them would have been in gedos position to score. Prossie did well he held the ball up and just needed that goal unfortunately that miss won't do his confidence anygood but he did enough to get a start Saturday
Gedo is everything that Proschwitz should have been for us, with his runs in behind the defence, his willingness to work hard as well as his hold up play all excellent. I think tonight proves that this he'll come good soon, tonight's the night stuff with Proschwitz is balls. That miss at the end was shocking and Bruce went mental, and he just never makes the right runs to be in the position to threaten a defence.
