Well done to the Super Hoops for a valiant effort at the Etihad, but with key members of the team unavailable and having to rely on players who have not been a regular feature meant that the attacking line-up from City was a just too much to handle. With goals from Tevez and Aguerro in the first half and a third from silva meant that the consolation goal from Cisse was literally that. However, Hoops fans seemed to appreciate the celebration!! Mackie was his usual dynamo, Taarabt making a good showcase for perspective buyers and loanee Taiwo looking ever more comfortable in both attacking and defensive positions. But Barry and Toure were utterly brilliant, showing Barton how to do it..... Regardless of the scoreline in Manchester, Bolton were unable to beat Stoke City, with the home team holding on to a slender 1-0, after a goal from former QPR striker, Peter Couch. Quite unusual to see two teams celebrating so much on the last day of the season.....and on the same pitch!! QPR have gotten away with murder after a string of poor games and several red cards, but with Fernandes and co sticking around to milk the Premier League (not forgetting MH) earnings for at least one more season, the future, no matter how unpredictable, for a Hoops fan is rather rosie........
Peter crouch scores the fastest hat-trick in premiership history whilst paddy Kenny's 4 penalty saves ensure the west London hoops will be back at the ethiad next season! how's that?
Perfect provided City still win the title. I might have respect for what Ferguson has achieved but I hate the man.
