Match Days

I dread them now. I'm not sure I'll go back even when it is safe. It costs me a lot of money from Hartlepool and it's always the same old garbage. Do you look forward to them anymore? Used to love going for the beers but stopped drinking last year so that's not a draw anymore now.

 

Yes and no.

There’s nothing to compare to a good match experience. Watching games against Barcelona, Benfica, FA Cup Semi Finals, 4-4 against Arsenal and so on.

At the moment, however, I don’t enjoy watching capitulation, lack of fight, bending the knee to the Top 6, and a complete lack of the will to win.

Get rid of Bruce and things will change unless Ashley decides to bring back Kinnear or someone of his ilk.

 

I used to look forward to match day. Not for a long time now.

 

I might even treat myself to a trip to the Earl when things are back to normal - then **** off back home at 3pm

 

I was at a home game about three seasons ago and Gayle missed a couple of sitters. I have hated him ever since.

I live on the south coast so vary rarely make it to a home game. Tend to get to a few away games every year though. They are more fun anyway I find.

To be fair, he looked more than a bit round when I saw him.

No mate. Back in the 80s we conked out on the Humber Bridge on the way to watch us play at Grimsby. It was like something out of Auf Weidersehen, especially when a Geordie voice on the bridge hotline said he'd tow our car off for nowt!

 

Nah, they're always ace for me. Can only go to 2 or 3 home games each season, but they're a total blast - group of us go up on the train get there about 11,have a mini pub crawl and food before the game, nicely blasted by the time we get in. Yeah the match is normally ****, but straight back to the pub afterwards, and get back mangled on the train sometime late.

You should start drinking again. It makes everything better.

 

Is anyone actually considering going if MA is still in charge?

Surely if we are only allowed 10k in there it'll only be the ones who took the free tickets? Would not pay a penny of my money to that scum back and his lackie Cabbage Heed.
