The big positive that came out of Fridays defeat at Rotherham was the performance of sub Adryan. It seems certain that the Brazilian playmaker will make his first start tomorrow, possibly supporting striker Antanucci. At the back, Sam Byram may return after been sub last time out, but there's unlikely to be wholesale changes. Norwich look likely to make some changes after 1 point from the last 3 games; Wes Hoolahan faces a potential spell on the sidelines with City’s medical staff now awaiting the results of scans to assess the extent of the ankle damage suffered in the second half of the 1-0 defeat at Fulham. please log in to view this image Jos Hooiveld and Kyle Lafferty both missed out on another miserable trip to Craven Cottage, but Adams will give the duo every chance to prove their fitness ahead of Leeds’ league trip to Carrow Road. “Laffs didn’t train Thursday or Friday with the knee injury he got in the second international game (for Northern Ireland) and we left it as late as we could,” said Adams, who put his squad through their paces at Colney on Sunday. “The physio had a look at him on Saturday morning and he wasn’t ready. Jos was something similar, it was just an innocuous blow on his knee at training on Friday. “Will we make changes? Yeah, possibly we will have to look at shaking things up. We have players there who deserve an opportunity, who have played well and done nothing wrong, but when you go three games without a win it is something you have to look at. We mixed it up at Fulham with the system we played, after two without a win, and looking at it the system was fine; we enjoyed dominance in the game but it was another case of not getting the first goal or keeping a clean sheet.” Courtesy of the EDP Head to Head Last season the teams faced off it remained honours even with a 2-2 draw at Elland road, and 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture. Hopefully this will lead to a good open game. Bah! OTBC
I would be very surprised if Leeds don't play extremely defensively. I sincerely doubt they will play a "passing" game. Currently strong defensive cohesion has shown itself very effective against us. On the pictures, rather than upload using your computer, use the link to the URL and then uncheck the box below saying "retrieve file remotely" or whatever it says
I'd be surprsed too if they turn up to play but surely he wouldn't tell the press one thing and then do another??? Bah!
That tip with the URL worked for Wes but the website for the header will not present a URL for the pic Hoping that Mr Howson will start and get a goal or two against his former employers. Bah!
Have you tried clicking on the link and then right clicking on the picture and looking under the "Properties" tab? That seems to give a URL I was really surprised Howson didn't start Saturday - I suppose Adams was expecting Fulham to be aggressive so wanted a bit of solidity with Tettey/Johnson combo. I have to say I thought the Fulham manager had done his homework
We will definitely play a passing game, tippy tappy sideways and backwards inside our own half and creating very few chances. We've dominated possession in nearly every game this season, including last Friday night at Rotherham where they couldn't match us first half. Second half they battered us with long balls and we couldn't cope with the aerial bombardment. Will make it interesting tomorrow as both teams will be looking to pass the ball. The difference will be which team is more creative and more incisive with their passing. On the evidence so far it won't be Leeds but if Adryan is on from the start he could provide the spark we've been lacking.
Well you'd be doing us a massive favour then. Which I'm not going to turn down, tbh. We could do with a team that doesn't just park the proverbial bus and then hit us on the counter, because that's pretty much the easiest way to guarantee a minimum of a point against us at the moment. And it should make for an exciting game. I saw some brief highlights of Adryan and he did look pretty good.
Where did you get the original photo from? Was it from the Sky website? You might need to go back to where you got it and paste the URL direct. Otherwise though a good effort on the thread, cheers
I can't see the Transfer Thread, and I'm not sure it merits a separate comment, but I see Harry Toffolo has joined Swindon on loan for a month. Good experience for him.
Nice one Melchett we need a win tomorrow mate but i imagine Leeds will reverse their bus onto the pitch much like Charlton and Rotherham did.
Just seen this, so let's hope they at least play a part tomorrow night - "Striker Kyle Lafferty and centre-back Jos Hooiveld have trained today ahead of Norwich City’s return to Championship action against Leeds United tomorrow night."
That's a higher standard than most of our youngsters have been loaned out to recently, so that's pleasing to see.
Let's hope we get the changes that are needed. Drop Grabban, Johnson and Whittaker and bring in Hooper, Lafferty and Vadis. Howson to start also. I'm going to be contraversial and drop Jerome also. 4 1 3 2 Ruddy Martin, Hoiveld, Turner Olsen Vadis Howson Tettey Murphy Lafferty Hooper Little and large up front
That 11 have scored 2 goals between them but YES we need wholesale changes tomorrow,if only to experiment. I would use Oneil too and drop Tettey
You only score if you play! Those who have been playing were scoring but seem to have gone off the boil! Be very suprised if Neil made many changes at all TBH Ruddy Martin, Hoiveld, Turner Olssen Tettey Johnson Redmond, Howson Grabban, Jerome will start so two changes but we need more for me As above but drop Johnson and bring in Vadis or O'Neil, drop Grabban for Hooper or Lafferty. I'd be OK with Murphy or Redmond starting and replace each other as the game goes on.
I would go Cueller Miquel all Spaniard CB pairing and swap Oneil for hoolahan natural rotation is key.
