I've heard the Bruce out chants mentioned a few times on here, was just wondering how vocal these chants were at the game on Saturday. Was it a small proportion or a majority of the crowd getting involved. If the latter, I think it may be enough to force Short to act.

It was a very, very small minority who participated in this chanting, but that doesn't hide the fact that there is most certainly a growing unhappiness with our current situation.

Thanks, I guessed this was the case from the lack of media coverage given to it. Chants on a larger scale if things go similarly against Wigan should spell the end for Bruce I would have thought

To be honest, it's a thing which has never really happened at Sunderland on a large scale in the many years I have been a supporter, even during the disastrous reigns of Mcmenamy and Wilkinson, so I would be surprised if it happened against Bruce just yet.

I'll be going on Saturday with the intention to give as much support as I can. Last chance saloon for me and if Bruce takes it then I'm more than happy to see him stay for aslong as we can put some distance (points wise) between ourselves and the relegation zone. I don't expect to be finishing 4th, just get us clear of the relegation zone.

My seat is in the East Stand I did not hear any chanting just some booing - it was only when I watched the TV later that I heard it

We sometimes can give a rather cutting TUT TUT in the East Stand, it can be quite frightening.

There were a couple of lads offering to sort out their differences in the car park in the Concourse, one a BiB and one a BoB.

The rot has set in now for Bruce and I cant think of many managers that can 'pull a rabbit out of a hat', when its got to the point the crowd are squabbling amongst each other over that manager.

I dont deny that there will be amassive roar for the lads at 3pm but if the useless fat geordie twat plays with one striker again, I cant see it getting 10 mins without the **** hitting the fan in the stands.

Its at tipping point currently and only a win on Saturday will keep the wolves from Bruces door. Lose and I do think we will see unprecedented scenes outside the SOL after the match from a large set of hugely pissed off fans.

To be perfectly honest syd I was quite disgruntled one day and I considered throwing a prawn from my sandwich at the referee! - luckily sense prevailed and I muttered under my breath until the moment had passed
