Happy boxing day all, my favourite day of the festive season..

When all the wrapping paper is pushed in the bin, the turkey is starting to smell like a wet dog, the kids have broken half their toys and the wife is suddenly worrying about the electric bill ha, I have none of that thank ****. Anyway I hope you are all enjoying Christmas, I have this year given the circumstances but that's been life for 6 years now and will probably be the same in 6 years time and 6 years after that. You make your bed as people say, well **** them, it's easy to walk away but I didn't..

So the match analysis is we were crap and in my opinion the Manager knew we would be. It's like pigging out the night before thinking, 'well I wont be playing tomorrow' but suddenly you are and I think Sam did that to justify to Ellis as to why he needs to get rid of a lot of the **** that bestows our great club. For me though, it was only a game of football that can be forgotten, to the fans who made the journey from all over the place to be there, I raise my hat to you lads. I honestly believe that come January there will be lots of ins and outs at our club, some surprises but I tell you what, after it all happens then we will see a team play with heart and dedication for a manager who for me has been the best thing since Roy Keane's success in 06/07..

Waffling stops now, it is christmas and my little Ella has gone to grannies for the night, so it's a quick pad change for the missus and a night of watching NCIS season 11, I'm so easily pleased ;)

By the way, just to finish, there is a lad on here who has made my daughters christmas by his kindness and totally unexpected gift and although I have not met him yet but bantered with him for a long time, I'm looking forward to doing so in 2016. You my man are the best..<ok>

Enjoy the rest of the Christmas season lads, it lasts till January 2nd in our house, old fashioned and all that..<cracker>

Ps, had a couple of text messages that give me optimism for 2016 and had our boxing day dinner of 'Cold warmed up', remember that?

There's nothing to analyse from the performance today. Shocking.

Fair comment about the reality check VJ, we suspected that December would be tough one, but the unexpected results by the other teams around us has given us a tougher job than we thought. The players now what is needed as they have been practicing for the lat three seasons.

Enjoy your evening of crime cos Everton have just mugged NUFC:police:

    All the best VJ.

Hope you're right about the clear out mate, but I can't imagine anybody coming in for our shower of ****! I think we'll be stuck with them until June.

I mentioned about meeting up with QWOP for a beer in York in the new year on another thread. Looking forward to make that happen!

Best wishes to you and the girls for the new year mate. You're one in a million!

Analysis? Well, o.k. I'll sort of try. First, it's kinda brownish. And it's usually longer than it's wide (though without wishing any discriminatory edge to the conversation, I might mention that some of a more gay orientation might well regret the fact). And if you leave it alone for a while, it kinda pongs a bit. I suppose the Oxford English Dictionary might refer to it as 'excrement'. But most colloquial speaking persons such as myself would refer to what we saw today as

    ... F**KING GODDAM BLOODY SH*TE !

    Analysis.

What was billy Jones doing getting beat in the air by a midget.

2nd goal, Gomez stands off Toure (put a challenge in ffs) shot goes about a centre metre away from O'Shea's feet but he can't be arsed to stick a foot out to block it. Pantilimon has been out of sorts but he'd have thrown his hat on that shot.

3rd goal, how the **** does Mannone not save it? Its hardly a bullet header and he half heartedly dives for it.

4th goal. Hey its O'Shea again, marking De Bryune, he tries the one two and goes for the the follow up, captain calamity however thinks ahh **** that why stick with the guy I'm marking, I'llgo ball watching iinstead and turn away from my man with all the grace of lorry negotiating a roundabout .

    Utter ****.

First criticism of big sam. Danny Graham ahead of Defoe??? Really?

Defoe isn't a player BSA likes to play. I suspect Graham will get a fair few opportunities under his tenure.

I wish you would post more, Parker. You are always bang on and I generally agree with everything you say.

Billy Jones and John O'Shea, for me, were league 2 standard yesterday. It's embarrassing having them in the team now, this isn't like other seasons where we have pulled off the great escape, we simply haven't got the squad for it this time and every other team looks to have stronger squad depth than us.

Gomez, Toivonen, PVA, Billy Jones, John O'Shea, Danny Graham, Yedlin. Wouldn't even get near anybody else's squad in this league, yet we give them first team football. It's a complete mess.

I thought yesterday that Allardyce deliberately left Defoe on the bench for Graham with an eye on the Liverpool game and after hearing his interview yesterday, when he was talking about how you expect to get beat at Man City anyways, that could be the reason.

You forgot PVA in the run up to Sterlings goal. If you missed him take another look when you can. You'll see why he shouldn't be allowed to pull on a safc Shirt again.

He's the fullback, he's in his defensive half but he had no interest what so ever in closing down the cross.

Gomez is another I'd never play again. The way he turned his back on Toure was cowardly.

Also We all know how important Lee Cattermole will be to our survival chances. We know he's playing through the pain barrier and that Big Sam is parcial to dishing out the old injections. Why at 4-0 down would he even risk Cattermole. A gamble to save face on goals which could cost us many a point should his injury agravated further.

Sam has my backing but he's made some insane choices lately. As you say Graham over Defoe, Risking injured plays, being forced into tactical changes so early in games. It's all a car crash to be honest.

So pleased to read this realistically positive post re the lads - 6 ptr on Jan 2nd -it's about time we beat a rival - our revival accompanied by a cup run ? - it's the sort of unexpected thing we do regularly - it's never dull being a Sunderland fan
