I've seen a fair bit of negativity saying that we shouldn't play these 3 behind the CF because they're too similar, they're all number 10s and we will continue to struggle breaking down stubborn defences!

But after one match of all 3 playing together, I was happy with their performance..

I thought that they all looked sharp & creative and with time to gel, they will be sublime!

Another point, Stoke cause us and many other big teams a lot of trouble! They have some good defensive players, good work rate & organisation.
They are a hard team to break down. I remember a Lampard 94th minute winner at the bridge against Stoke, a Malouda 92nd winner at Stoke.
We drew 0-0 last season at Stoke under AVB and a Drogba 68th minute winner at the bridge for RDM's first game.
They always cause us trouble and always defend well!

And for a plan B - Put Oscar at CM, Bring on V.Moses & Marin for width, one of Mata/Hazard at AM then Sturridge/Torres CF. Attacking plan B!

Oscar - Brilliant in the Olympics, brilliant against Juventus, Thought he was one of our best players yesterday as well.
Mata - How good was he last season?..Our best player! Also yesterday he was his old self, beautiful pass for Torres and great flick for Cole.
Hazard - Everyone wanted to sign this guy, we signed him for 30m and he's had a great start to the season.

3 of the best talents in the world plus.......1 Brazilian, 1 Belgium, 1 Spanish........These 3 countries are producing the best youngsters in the world! Give them a few games to gel and they could so easily be amazing together!

On a side note.....I thought Torres was quite poor, it really didn't help these 3 as well, I think Sturridge should start the next few games if he's not injured and in January we should seriously try and sign Falcao / Cavani / Lewandoski............and Fellaini. CM & CF Is what we need.

Any one have any thoughts on our creative 3? <ok>

This grouping behind Torres is one that RDM said he would very rarely play! Having watched the game against Stoke I have now gathered why! I think we need to use the game against Wolves on Weds to do a bit of experimenting, and use all subs at the start of the 2nd half! Its that kind of game where we can choose to gamble!

The reason MOTD pundits are saying we shouldn't play our 3 creative midfielders together is because they are scared of how well we are passing the ball around. They are just hoping that someone in our end is listening to them and that the manager will drop them. Have you noticed that only Redknapp and Lineker suggested that because they both previously played and managed at Spurs. Don't think the creative midfield is the problem because the pass and movement is brilliant especially with the goal Cole scored against Stoke. We need a prolific forward in front of the attacking midfield like Messi for Barca & C.Ronaldo for Real Madrid. Torres just isn't cutting it for me at the moment. It would be interesting to see how Sturridge fairs upfront or buy Falcao in January.

Blimey, if only it were that easy, OK we'll go and buy Falcao. That will only cost about 60mill.
The creative midfield IS the problem, HAS been the problem for 3 years, and WILL be the problem for the next 3 years unless we actually buy or develop a creative midfielder. Lampard's extraordinary career has blinded us to the scale of the problem he has left behind, especially with the departure of Drogba. They played perfectly together, but Frank seems unable to want to ,or be capable of, a different style of play.
We need a very special midfielder. Not a Mata, Oscar,Hazard type player, but a Pirlo, Iniesta, Sjnieder type player. A Hoddle, Brooking, Hudson type player. Not many of them, but United have bought one in Kagawa. I predict before seasons end, he will be un- buyable. We went to war over Hazard, Man U picked up possibly a more influential player for a song.
We need better scouts, anyone can see superstars ,which we buy, but it takes more talent to spot one in the raw.Unless and until we sort the midfield, Roman has pissed away another truck load on players who can't function the way we set ourselves up.
Why oh why do we never seem to see the big picture ?????????

With respect to the OP..these are 3 of the best players in the prem at the moment. If you can accomodate them, they will be awesome.

I wish we had a problem like that !!

Drogba and Lampard were the perfect combination. I agree we are going to miss their goals. They scored half of our goals when we won the title under both Mourinho Ancelotti.
