Very reliable. Played every minute of every game for us. Would have happily seen him back but wages were always going to be a stumbling block. I don't see how you can really afford much more than us, so the attraction is obviously a higher league. Only signed for 1 year and probably did not want to be signed for any longer to keep his options open.

Yeah I doubt we could offer much higher wages than you lot, I reckon Shrewsbury have more cash than us to be honest. So it's definitely League One status that persuaded him to join us, and the fact he doesn't have to move house ect.

Cheers btw.

Excellent player. You probably won't notice him the first few games but that is because he's so solid and just gets on with his job. He didn't miss a minute of our season and seems to be a model pro. He'll do very well for you I expect. Put it this way, every shrews fan wanted him to sign up.

Would have loved seeing him back but again, his wages were always going to be a problem (reputed to have been one of Watfords top earners). A very good signing for Walsall though, albeit for one year..

I think this makes it very likely that GT will target Jacobson of Accie, if he hasn't already. Guess I was resigned to losing Sadler, to the Saddlers :emoticon-0126-nerd:

On the Accy message board it says that a few of their players contracts don't run out with them until 30th june so maybe we can't officially sign him until then.

Just guessing but Graham Turner said recently in one of his interviews that he doesn't like to comment on any signings until the papers are signed as you never know what might happen, someone may agree to a deal and another club hears about it and sneaks in and offers them a better deal, maybe this happened with Grimes.

For all we know we could have been nowhere near Grimes, don't think there was any hard evidence we were interested, apart from B&A and everything turning into a massive game of Chinese whispers.
