Guys, I'm currently working on my master thesis. I want to measure the effects of ownership models on the loyalty of football fans. As a fan I'm very concerned about the new developments in football and there hasn't been a lot of research on this topic. Remember that this is a theoretical approach, it doesn't quite catch the full picture. The goal of the thesis is to detect some strong effects that could be further analysed in new research. It will take 5 minutes of your time. Don't forget to send this to your football mates! https://jfe.qualtrics.com/form/SV_6CZc9HhL1wyqr77 Thanks in advance, Pauwel Nuytemans
Too many questions. Our owners is bonkers and has almost no interest in the fans. You fill in the blanks.
Under our current owners we have experienced our best ever season. Highest league position, best FA cup run and European football for the first time on our history. He has however upset core, local supporters by chasing potential national and international sources of income that have the potential to increase income significantly. He hasn't helped matters by some abysmal public relations disasters whilst engaging with thos core support. Deyails of which are on the public record. ThereIis also some doubt over our current finances , with much/all of his financing being in the form of loans. However, whilst in the premier league, this shouldn't be a problem. This should become clearer when the clubs finances are made available. On field, he has supported our manager significantly. Making funds available to buy players of a quality not seen at our club before, and not interfering with the managers decisions. In fact he's quoted as saying he only goes to the training ground when he's invited. In summary, generally good owner, doing what fans would want in terms of backing the team. Unfortunately, poor public relations and neglecting core, local support in favour of potentially bigger revenue streams has alienated a large section of fans.
