SG has said that he will consider loans only if he gets them for the full season - according to an interview in the YEP.
I won't mind if we get a Watt or a Lichaj on a season-long loan, but the short-term emergency loan nonsense to paper over the cracks in the squad can't continue. It looks from that statement like Bates might have had a word with Grayson about it.
i would love to get lichaj back on loan but i dont disagree with any loan signings he made last season except livermore which was the most pointless thing signing seeings we already got bannan. and also maybe mccartney in hindsight but at the time it was the right thing to do i think
id say westwood was 1, possibly pratley and jones, maybe we were looking at caulker for a season loan?
pratley would've been a good signing but why would we go for someone who has just been promoted to premier league, why would he go and play in the championship again anyway who do we think the players are that we are talking to at the moment, i guarantee that one of them is lonergan
everyone saw rachubka coming, the rumours were flying around for at least 2 weeks and they had far more backing than other rumours.
i mean no one on here mentioned his name before the rumours hit the papers, websites etc, whereas players like smith, lichaj returning have always been talked about on here
not every club is like millwall, most clubs like to get players in that improve their squad unlike urs
IMO Lonergan is better than Kasper. There were Premiership teams after Lonergan, with reports that we infact "beat" Everton to his signing. There was clearly no Prem interest in Kasper oherwise he would have gone there. Beckford did brilliantly for us but everyone I've spoken to feels we have become a better all round team without him. Who have you replaced Morison with? Darius Henderson!
no we replaced harris with Hendo because our strike force are all kids and Jackett needed to put another experienced guy in with them, Morison looks like he may be replaced with well em,,,,,**** knows hearing rumours Jackett wants Davide Somma but not as good as Morison
I don't think that 4 signings is enough. The first will probably be Lonegran sometime this week, but we still need 2 centremids, a centreback, a leftback and possibly another rightback with Connelly our only one. If Grayson can get players like AOB, Bruce, Bromby, Kisnorbo, and Lees to start performing and actually form a good defence, cause they're all good defenders, then we probably wouldn't need a centreback. I didn't like what Grayson was saying in today's YEP, which sounded like Ben Parker, and Bessone would be our 2 leftbacks.
