Firstly Forest followed by coventry, massive six pointers.

4-4-2 surley the way to go.

    Pittman has to start.

Will he get a chance Saturday, think there is a strong chance, reports seem to say Maynard was of his game yesterday.

perhaps del will stick with the same formation and drop maynard for pitman

but he did say he prefers 4-4-2 so lets hope so, only trouble with that is the midfield theres usually 5 places up for grabs, but with that formation one of them will be dropped but who

    Adomah
    Kilkenny
    Elliott
    Cisse
    Pearson
    Woolford
    Bolasie

Then there's the defense, does nyatanga get the nod over Wilson, who knows

My team for Forrest..........i actually don't know, i wrote a few down but kept deleting them this is a real good headache for del!!

'4-4-2 surley the way to go' - Millen's favouite system as well.
Forget this system or that system it's about playing a system to OUR players strengths in a relegation dogfight.

If you assume our back 4, Marv and Cisse are a must. Kilkenny,Adomah and Maynard are 3 other 'musts.

This leaves one outfield spot. For me it's Pearson.

Currently this is our strongest 11 and the team that will play Forest.

When ever we have played 442 this season we have been destroyed our defence are too exposed and our weaknesses are exploited, though id start pitman as I feel he is hungrier.

As soon as we went 442 on sat we went 2 1 down and derby were walking through us as cisse was covering our back 4, We just dont have the balance for 442 mcinnes himself has said it! and he even prefers 442 maybe if we get some out and a couple in come january then that may change things but for now we just gotta get by

I really think now confidence is back we should look at two up top.
The problem being unless Maynard and Adomah is playing well we are struggling to score goals.
I think by having pitman upfront there is a much better chance of goals.
The issue is forming a solid defence, midfield.

    What about this

    Jamo
    Skuse Wilson Fontaine magivern
    Adomah elliot killkenny Pearson
    Maynard pitman

    Or
    Jamo
    Skuse fontaine mcgivern
    Cisse
    Adomah Elliot Kiikenny pearson
    Maynard pitman

yeah. I have in the past been a critic of Scuse, but it must be said, under McInnes and playing at RB Scuse has been outstanding. If he carries on playing like that he will be a major asset to our club, not the waster he was turning into

with 3 at back skuse won't fit in if kk out then he can swap with him we need 5 in the middle to control the midfield

No pressure lads but we need 6 points from the next 2 games to give ourselves some breathing space.

I always said that the test will be when we lose.......test is on DM...
As said the next two games are vital if we are looking to stay in this division..

January IMO DM will be looking for at least a couple of players...
Thank god we have DM and not KM in charge.......we would have been doomed by now!!

To be fair we have only played badly once since the Birmingham game and that was at Derby - we gifted their goals as if we scored them for them ourselves.
The Boro game was a fluke - the referee is a random fixture (ask any Palace fan!!).
I am 60% confident of a win Sat - only tempered by the hoodoo that Forest seem to have over us - let's hope DM isn't supersticous! (I know I spelt that wrong!)

Well, what was looking good is not so rosy now! we need 7 from the next 3 that will take us into the second half on a positive note...

However I see it as after New Year....Ipswich and Millwall on 27, BCFC on 26 Florest on 24 with Donny and Coventry following up

Team in 18th place on 30 pts

    No to 4-4-2.

We have turned things around with our current formation, we cannot fit our creative players in to a 4-4-2 at the moment. we must NOT lose. Its very clear we are shaky at 4-4-2 as has been proved.

Keep the faith and let the players do the rest DM.

To be fair all round, we were cheated out of 1 and possibly 3 points against Middlesbrough and shot ourselves in the foot against Derby. Had we secured 3 or 4 points from those games it wouldn't look so bleak now.

Saturday is huge. IF IF IF we can we we'll go to Coventry with some re-established confidence.

I hope you win both these games, wouldn't mind seeing them both relegated this year, and planting both of them well in it would be a great help <ok>
