http://www.lfctour.com/news/photo-special-reds-train-at-harvard you guys should take a look at a roasting hot first training session at which literally "some" fans turned up... not quite the same as asia last year is it? please log in to view this image still imagine that kid when he grows up and has brad jones autograph... legend eh? please log in to view this image i bet these guys are wondering where lex luthor escaped from... either that or the always politically incorrect cancer patient thoughts... Ah well...i'm sure our guys will be lean by the time they get back cos you can only call it warm weather training eh?
Erm, isn't that why Liverpool came over here? Those pictures show why it was a good choice, you got to build the base, Asia already loves us, job done there
I think this was tongue in cheek by MITO (correct me if I'm wrong) and Bluff is absolutely correct with his comment
Of course tongue in cheek.... here's the thing. the club are running blogs, dedicated websites and every media push they can give and literally a handful of jersey wearing support turned up. Ok you are training at harvard so i guess 20k students aint going to drop by to take a look but you have to admit its dead funny that about 10 people showed up.
I know MITO, sometimes you get defensive over your country! I hear you on that point but school is not in at the moment ( summer break) but still, should definitely be more advertisement to come and watch the mighty reds train with mighty red, etc. The games will be good though I feel. Plus Boston, massive Irish communities and they love Celtic round those parts, not sure if that is good or bad for us though.
Should be good, Bluff, technically. Irish football fans usually choose an English and a Scottish team to support. They do this because Irish football isn't very good - think Scottish, but worse. They also standardly choose their teams based on the religion of the fan base. So Catholic: Celtic, Liverpool, Man City. Protestant: Rangers, Man U, Everton. So oftentimes an Irish supporter will support Liverpool and Celtic or Man U and Rangers - these were the most common when I was a kid visiting my family in NI. So, if the Irish-Americans are consistent we should have a big following if they are Celtic fans.
St. Patty's day is massive in Boston, they color the river green ffs! It will be good, I am excited, this weekend there is footy on again! Is it Chelsea/City/Madrid one of those is playing PSG which should be tasty this weekend.
