No obvious target man - 6 man midfield in front of the same back four. Gunnar, Mutch, Kimbo, Bellamy, Mason and probably Cowie as we're up there, though I'd stick Whitts back in instead of the Don, and play him further forward. Pack the midfield with quality and play narrow - use Taylor and Connolly overlapping down the flanks. Noone and Conway off the bench options if it doesn't work. If Heguson starts, we'll lose it. Forget about players always scoring against their old clubs.
Agree with you entirely Sparks, wish we'd given Mason more game time, with this or a very similar line up I can see us taking 3pts, Watfords defence isn't their strongest department so we must put pressure on them. Just wish it wasn't on the box as I can't stand watching the lads on tv.
Agree %100 ol fella , been talking bout this for weeks wid mates as Joe pulls their defence appart and can score goals out of nothing , we leaving town at 10.30 tomoz (sat) so early night for JH and a draw there ,win home tuesday should see us in the promised land ...........;O)
Start what Sparkey? Shaving? Seriously though, we need to stick with an attacking formation and if MM thinks Campbell is the answer to the lone striker then we should look for a similar player to replace him. Look to the future not the past. HH got us started on this journey, but it should be the players with flair that finish the job! We know Watford have a suspect defence, so a pacy front 6 to hastle them when they have the ball and run at them when we have the ball is the way to go. Bellamy Mutch Gunnar Whitts Kimbo across the middle and mason up top. Noone and smith off the bench to turn the screw.
If Campbell is not fit then Mason in for him and keep the ball on the ground. That apart no changes and Whitts on the bench.
