Masked man robs Rangers of point – report Monday, 13th Apr 2015 23:47 by Andy Hillman A fantastic performance and work rate from QPR wasn’t enough to avoid defeat against champions-elect Chelsea at Loftus Road on Sunday as Robert Green’s late error proved costly. Andy Hillman was there for LFW. In the week following Easter Harry Redknapp has emerged, risen if you will, to sit on every sporting sofa known to man to tell the world how he’s ‘enjoyed’ his break from football, how unfair it all was at QPR and how he’s ready to return if the ‘right opportunity’ comes along. Relatives of Eddie Howe look away now. It’s therefore almost ironic that in a season where ‘bonus game’ was bandied about so frequently to describe pretty much every QPR away game, with only six matches to the end of the season the Chelsea home game actually felt like an actual proper bonus game. If you’re banking on getting points to stay up against the Champions elect, then I fear it’s already too late for you. http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/38392/?
Clive was working and had to miss this one. Andy Hillman who stood in for him uses the phrase that so many do when doing match reports is ...'at times.' I don't understand why this is used. It's wasted words and labours the reading. If you leave this redundant and pointless phrase out of your writing it makes it much more 'punchier.'
Only difference is he's out with 'Useless Greedy Bastard Syndrome', there's been an epidemic of it at Loftus Road since the start of 2011-12. SWP is a terminal case...
Good report and I agree with most of it. He's wrong about Drogba imo. He won almost every header and was the best centre forward on the day for me.
Never thought I'd say this but bring back Clive, that description was stunningly dull, didn't give any sense of the tension during the game. If Clive is Sixth Form this bloke is in the first year of GCSE's, just trying to get his spelling and grammar half decent. I liked that other one with the Finnish sounding name you put a link up to . Have to confess I don't look at any other websites than this for QPR news, other than occasionally clicking a link posted on here. I like my R's news filtered by the bias and prejudice of characters (even if they are fake internet characters) I am familiar with. Plus looking at loads of websites would feel a bit anorak. Barely believable that in the olden days we just went to games, hoped for the slim chance of being on MOTD/Big Match, and read the sports pages (mainy on Sundays and Mondays). And were quite happy with that as far as I can remember. Didn't even spend hours debating in the pub because we had so little information/misinformation. I'm not even that interested in the history of the club, other than the bits that I can remember myself. Think I upset Roller on Sunday by confessing that I don't read any of his stuff (which is much better written than these other blokes, but frankly I wouldn't know where to find it, though I know he gets it into a Kick Up the Rs. I don't buy programmes or fanzines either.) as he and Stainsey were explaining to me that there is still a chunk of the old terracing under the School End Stand.
I was thinking more of writers cramp from all those book signings please log in to view this image Yes, that was one last favour from the old boys WHU connection:- please log in to view this image SWP is indeed a terminal case that has been on life support for most of his time with us - a Warnock desperation signing who laughed his way all the way to the bank with that contract. On 31 August 2011, the final day of the transfer window, Wright-Phillips signed for Queens Park Rangers on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee Did he get a one year contract extension somewhere? I will be so glad for our club to finally be rid of him. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaun_Wright-Phillips Carlton Cole, Nathaniel Clyne and Shaun Wright-Phillips attend Football Fighting Ebola fundraising reception in London Carlton Cole and Nathaniel Clyne attend fundraising reception Shaun Wright-Phillips and Matt Phillips also in attendance on Sunday The event was held in Knightsbridge in London's West End Event was a reception for Football Fighting Ebola charity QPR winger Shaun Wright-Phillips was also spotted at the event, as was his team-mate Matt Phillips. Why is he still here???!!!! Someone need be held responsible. Is this why Philip Beard had to go? He probably gave SWP an automatic one year extension clause if we were in the Premier League by the contracts end. Promotion isn't always a good thing (This is 100% guesswork on my part).
TV presenter Layla Anne-Lee was also in attendance at the fundraising reception on Sunday night in London - Notice how this lady isn't wearing a baseball cap back to front like a street thug.
