As we already know Tespo Masilela is set to sign for on loan. Sky have said we are paying 350K for the loan and another 1.7M if we want to make the loan permanent further down the line. Sounds a good signing. Sign Ben Mee again and that left back sorted. Masilela as first choice and Mee as cover

I can't see Mancini lending Mee out to be cover for someone - I would have thought the whole point of lending them out is to get some games under their belt

I think Man City would sell Mee. Man City have scrapped their reserve team and will be sending them out on loan. I wasnt saying get Ben Mee just as cover for left back, sign him as a centre half and if needed to he can go left back, like he did last season

    Good stuff <ok>

As for Mee, we've enquired about him about a possible permanent or loan if not. I think we should just buy him, Man City aren't going to want him and he's worth more than St Ledger who we might be paying £2m for.

I still think we need another CB. If Mee is played at left back then who do we have to cover at CB? Can we guarantee that Tunchev and Bamba will always be fit? And it looks like Hobbs in on his way to Hull.

Unless we keep Berner that is.

I think we need 4 CB's next season - two of them (Tunchev & Bamba) are already at the club so I think two more should come in, preferably with one being able to cover full-back as well so that's where Mee comes in handy.

We're also being linked with everton's Shane Duffy as well - anyone know anything about him?

Not all players are scouted its not their fault. And some players dont develop until late in their career. If Sven thinks he good enough then thats fine by me

He has played 32 times for South Africa, it is not as if they have to find their way into a township to scout him!

    We will see!

Another quality signing me thinks. The fact he has been playing for Israeli champions Maccabi Haifa shows he has been playing at a high level compared to most players. There are many players who slip through the English net because not all teams have a European/Wider World scouting network to identify such players or are not willing to take risks for non-home based players. I trust Sven's judgment on players whether home based or not.

Think Sven must have managed or played against about 1 in 20 players around the world at some point!!

Surprised he is having his medical in Sweden. Thought that side of things would have already have been sorted, and work permit already applied for.

This fella looks the tits on you tube. I know I know, you tube makes everyone look good. Hell, even makes Hargreaves look like he's fit, but seriously i'm excited by him and if Sven wants him then I reckon he'll be quality. Could be the darkhorse for signing of the season like Naughton last year. Or maybe I'm over optimistic.
