You may not have heard of him, but I watched this kid play for France on Tuesday against Ukraine, and he's $h!t hot! He's a centre midfielder, touted as the next Iniesta. He came on with about 20 minutes to go, scored 2 goals and got one assist - the first player since Zidane to score a brace on his debut! He also got the third most assists in Europe behind Nani and Messi!! Check out highlights on Youtube if you like - does nayone else have any more info on him - or seen him play any domestic games this season? He may be about 5 foot 8, but I think he'd be worth a shot. Definitely, if Fabregas went.
well, he's a young man. not really a youngster. and i'll assume you haven't seen him play to dismiss him so quickly. muppet.
I'm sorry, I probably shouldn't have really done that without looking at him, but to be honest we really, really shouldn't be messing around with unproven talent, Wenger should bust open the bank for once and prove we are actually title contenders.
but you say for once as if he has had the funds to bust open the bank in previous seasons... i'm not sure he has. i'm not sure who is classed as proven talent? players like samba and cahill? ashley young, n'zogbia? the price of these players are all ridiculous.
come on...we are one of the richest clubs in england, if not the world. Im sure there is a little more that Wenger could do than buy Squillacci, etc.
Don't know anything about Marvin Martin. But Pubeus, there is no reason we cannot buy for the future as well as buying the 3 or 4 players we need now. If it is a straight choice between signing Martin and an experienced player who will improve us for next season then there is only 1 winner. But, as with Jenkinson, signing a youngster will not mean we are not signing the players needed. I have to laugh at the media and posters on here who are crying because Liverpool signed Henderson for £20 million, United signed Jones for £16 million and we only signed a Charlton youngster for £1million! The international transfer window isn't even open yet, July 1st, and the summer is young. Panic seems to have started early concerning Arsenal. Phil Jones is a good young player, but at £16 million was never the right option for us. We need someone to come straight into the team, and improve it. Jones was not even first choice CB at Blackburn. I have no doubt Jones will reach a very good level, but United have the time to develop Jones as Ferdinand and Vidic will play most times.
