Lets take a closer look at Marvin Bush, the rarely seen brother of George Bush II and Stratasec.

Marvin P. Bush is the founder and Managing Partner of private investment company Winston Partners Group of Vienna, Virginia. Before this, he spent 12 years in the investment business with the firms of Mosley, Hallgarten, Estabrook and Weeden, Shearson Lehman Brothers, and John Stewart Darrel & Company.

In January, 1998, Marvin Bush was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Fresh Del Monte Produce company, the giant fruit company that makes the canned goods we buy in our markets. Del Monte is owned by a very wealthy family from Kuwait, the Abu-Ghazaleh family. Mohammed Abu-Ghazaleh is the CEO and he has several family members on the Board alongside Marvin Bush. Another member of the Fresh Del Monte Board of Directors is Stephen Way, who is a major Bush fundraiser. Way is the head of the Houston-based HCC Insurance Holdings Company. In early 2000, Stephen Way acquired the appointment of Marvin Bush to the Board of Directors of HCC. In that transaction, Bush not only landed a very large salary, but a sweet stock option deal. He purchased about $130,000 worth of HCC stock that grew almost 500% in value in a year.

Marvin also was named to the Board of Directors of the Stratesec Company, another large publicly-traded firm. This company is very secretive and you can find virtually nothing about it. Their website does not allow entry to several links unless one has a password. Virginia-based Stratesec is a provider of high-tech security systems. Two of the major customers for which they provide security are the Dulles International Airport at Washington, D.C, where hijackers were filmed going through security, and the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Prominent people at Stratesec also include former Reagan operatives including Barry McDaniel and Air Force General James A. Abrahamson (who was involved in the Reagan "Star Wars" project). Stratesec as a company is heavily inter-related with the Kuwam Corporation. Kuwam is a major Kuwaiti Company who are into many activities including the aircraft business and Marvin is also listed on their board of directors. Stratesec's Chief Executive is also the Managing Director of Kuwam Corporation and Kuwam's Chairman Mishal Yousef Saud Al Sabah sits on Stratesec's Board of Directors. Stratesec is providing the primary security for one of the most sensitive airports in the world, Dulles in D.C has a heavy middle eastern airline connection.

According to Stratasec CEO, Barry McDaniel, the company had an ongoing contract to handle security at the World Trade Center "up to the day the buildings fell down."

The company lists as government clients "the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S Air force, and the Department of Justice," in projects that "often require state-of-the-art security solutions for classified or high-risk government sites."

Stratesec (Securacom) differs from other security companies which separate the function of consultant from that of service provider. The company defines itself as a "single-source" provider of "end-to-end" security services, including everything from diagnosis of existing systems to hiring subcontractors to installing video and electronic equipment. It also provides armored vehicles and security guards.

The Dulles International contract is another matter. Dulles is regarded as "absolutely a sensitive airport," according to security consultant Wayne Black, head of a Florida-based security firm, due to its location, size, and the number of international carriers it serves.

Black has not heard of Stratesec, but responds that for one company to handle security for both airports and airlines is somewhat unusual. It is also delicate for a security firm serving international facilities to be so interlinked with a foreign-owned company: "Somebody knew somebody," he suggested, or the contract would have been more closely scrutinized. As Black points out, "when you have a security contract, you know the inner workings of everything." And if another company is linked with the security company, then "What's on your computer is on their computer."

The World Trade Center was destroyed just days after a heightened security alert was lifted according to security personnel. Daria Coard, 37, a guard at Tower One, said the security detail had been working 12-hour shifts for the past two weeks because of numerous phone threats. But on Thursday (September 6), bomb-sniffing dogs were abruptly removed

On the weekend of 9/8, 9/9 there was a 'power down' condition in WTC issued by Securacom. This power down condition meant there was no electrical supply for approx 36 hrs from floor 50 up. Of course without power there were no security cameras, no security locks on doors and many, many 'engineers' coming in and out of the tower.

A cousin of George and Marvin, Jim Pierce, managing director of AON Corporations, was due to attend a business conference on the 105th floor of the South Tower where its New York offices were based on the day of Septempber 11th. But the night before, this meeting was rearranged to be held across the street at the Millennium Hotel. It turned out that 12 people were in the originally planned room at the time of the attack, 11 of them died. Lucky or what?
