Not his neck though. It's his hand, poor bloke will be ****ed after he retires amount of knocks and injuries he gets! Hopefully he can play tomorrow night though
He's got ligament damage aswell which is having a scan.... Didn't he injury himself around this time last season
http://www.bristolcity.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=349201 Out for several weeks according to this.
Probably Shiny & Redprintt's spirit for the rest of the season. I pity who gets picked in his place in the middle as RP will most likely be on his case from game 1
I think when Marv is not there we look a bit lightweight in midfield. The loan signing of Wade Elliott is a very odd one as I can't see he gives us anything we do not have (a bit like the Howard one last year)
The last time I was in hospital, one of the doctors that looked after me had worked for a Premier League team before, I can't remember which one (Chelsea, perhaps?). He said that by the time most footballers had retired they had suffered so many injuries over their time playing that they'd probably have constant problems as they grow older, and most of them were guaranteed arthritis, pain killers, and endless anti-inflammatory pills in their futures. Not only that, but a lot of players play through injuries, sometimes through an entire season. Marvin Elliot has been a fantastic servant for the club, but given his injury record it wouldn't surprise me if he's struggled for a while. I remember when he snapped his Achilles, and as someone that has had a minor tear I can safely say that I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I reckon he's got a few years left, but I wouldn't be surprised if he called time on his career early.
