But so can De Ridder.

To include Waghorn within our current matchday squad, one of Guly, De Ridder, Schneiderlin or Fox would have to miss out. And that's before you even consider Chaplow, Barnard, Butterfield, Jaidi, Dickson, Holmes and Forte, who'll also be looking for a place within the 16.

Yes for sure, having an extra body within the squad is never a bad thing. It allows you options going forward to help deal with suspension, injury and loss of form. But you don't pay £1m+ for that sort of player.
 
I think Saints have got feelers out everywhere hoping to get their first choice but with back up plans, so we're not caught napping. Adkins can get the best out of players, so if he likes the look of someone that's good enough for me.
