Can any one else see this one happening ? Really hope Whelan convinces Martinez to stay! I suppose now every prem club that ditches there manager or even bigger championship clubs is going to cause us some worry ! It would be nice if in Football ,if you had a contract ,you had to honour it ,a bit more in line with normal business!
Can't see it myself. Although now I've said that, he'll probably go. He's destined for bigger clubs than Wigan and fighting a losing battle in the Premier League is hardly going to enhance his CV.
I can see the first but and not the second. Wigan will want someone with a "name" to show their fans they are aiming high. There are many premiership experienced managers who they could go for, who have had some or no success at that level. To pick another from the lower leagues might not be an option this time round.
Can you affect the outcome in a positive manner by speculating on this? If not do not, if you cant change it dont worry about it, until Malky states hes looking to go or disatisfied with it here I'll just hope he stays. To be fair he didn't do his cv any favours with the run in at the end of season, I'm not criticising but stating fact.

If that happened then maybe an opinion re alignment may be necessary, However cant see that scenario for a couple of years yet
