Bobby says that the team has been doing ok and that the performances have been there, does he ever say anything different?? I do have to say that when i saw Wigan at the Liberty i thought they were one of the best teams weve played against this season! how weird ! I think Wolves will win today ,a draw is the result i really want though. Thoughts by my fellow jacks?
I pussied out and swapped Vorm for Al-Habsi in my fantasy football team this weekend, and as I'm assuming he'll be starting then I'm hoping he keeps a clean sheet with a load of saves! Any connotation on a scoreline with Wigan keeping a clean sheet is cool by me
How can he say they are doing ok when they are at the foot of the table with 5 points and an average 0.5 points a game, sorry he is deluding himself, and I don't think the Wigan fans will buy into that crap !
Lots of grumbles from the Wigwams lately , but i dont think bobby will get the sack , he may resign though if he gets a nice pay off
Wolves 2-1 up , the keeper was so unlucky ,made 2 unbelivable stops before the ball got smashed passed him. 2 poor teams though today
Looks bleak for Wigan, Wolves look quite poor (which really does make that 1pt feel like a loss) but wigan just look completly 1 dimensional . The players seem so drained of confidence and im not sure how they will get that back , maybe Martinez will consider his position after this game ??
I'd say if Martinez/Whelan/Wigan didn't have an affinity going back years he'd be gone by now. Realistically, if this continues much longer (if any longer at all) he should consider his position. Blind faith is never good, and just because they all love each other doesn't mean it's good for the club. I know I posted the other day that they should stick by him even if they got relegated, but that was assuming they start fighting for their PL status. No club should be happy to go all season being drubbed, which appears to be how they're headed...
It seems strange that such a hard headed buisness man like Whelen is so soft with Bobby, maybe he (whelen) nows time is running out for wigan in the prem league and that bobby will eventually build a decent side in the NPC. Its early days yet i know ,have Wigan played any of the Top sides yet ??
Bloody hell the bbc must be wrong, 2353 attendance http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/15510784.stm
Wigan are going down on that performance. They have Arsenal, WBA, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man U & Stoke in December. Next up Blackburn & Sunderland. Dead man walking is Mr Martinez.
Dont think pratley is playing today, is he dropped or injured ? looks like Bolton are reverting to the longer game today.
