Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is disappointed Tottenham won't sell them Danny Rose. OâNeill is just pleased to have secured an extension to the loan until the end of the season. He can concentrate on other targets this week and vowed to work on Roseâs future in the summer. The Sunderland manager said: "I was really disappointed he (Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas) said he will have Danny back. "Lots of things can change: if we put in an offer of £38million that might change things, I think he would taxi him up here." As usual Levey wants to extract every last penny for the lad, hope lessons are learnt and loans are only taken in from now on with a buy out clause intact.
time to look at other targets, replace him now, he's going to get more expensive every game he plays. what with his form and rapid development. I'd like to see him on the wing. give McClain and Johnson something to think about.
I would love to say send him back and if we had that luxury, thats the 1st thing I would do to piss that Levy off. The fact is though we are a much better team with Rose playing. Just hope it's lesson learned about putting an option to buy in the loan contract.
Disappointed but not surprised I'd guess, so hopefully he has his sights on a permanent deal for someone else. For me although I think he is a top player and would love him with us we should sign a LB and send him back to Spurs, call their bluff so to speak.
Don't think this is a bad thing, we get to play him still without spending half our budget on him, leaving MON money to strengthen other areas. Smacks of the right back we loaned off them but when we came to buy they rammed the price up. Forgot his name???
Was that Hutton mate? went back to Spurs and they sold him for half the price to Villa I think it was not sure where he is now mind.
They are trying to get the price up, simple as. Would have sold him for pennies at start of season, hindsight is wonderful, and at the time, a loan was the correct move. We will get him, I'm confident of that, but he will cost.
Wouldn't mind paying over the odds for him mate but, not too much over anything more than 7mil and I'd be wary.
What, exactly, is your problem with our club and manager? Have you been abused or beaten as a child? If not then I wish someone would beat the living **** out of you.
I'm glad to hear he is going to concentrate on Danny Rose's future in the summer. I hope we can get him but if not we move onto a new permanent target. He said he wants to play here so hopefully we can sign him
