Anyone else worried that someone will sack their manager before we do (doubt we will anyway) and they take O'Neil? What if we do wait to long and sack him when there is no one good enough available? This is why imo we need to get rid of him quickly, I don't wanna end up with someone like Curbishley.
No not worried at all.... I know some clammer for the signing of MoN, but i'm not one of them.. Although i do expect when the inevitable happens, the search will be far and wide, and not narrowed down to the few names that are banded around by every single club.
This is my point for weeks. If we don't act quickly, we won't have any alternative. I think this Is Bruces last hope that he can ride out the storm until Mon and Hughes have got clubs and he gets a reprieve. His only hope is to be a better the devil yet know manager. This is my biggest fear.
Tough one mate, i'm not in the position be to a wealthy billionaire and have to make these decisions. Hopefully a foreign name, with a bit of guile and adventure...Not MoN or Hughes....although i'd prefer Hughes over MoN...personal opinions i guess.
I will spit blood if that occurs... and we subsequently appoint David O'Leary or Alan Curishley et al. (Assuming we get rid of Bruce ofcourse). If Short has lost his interest then Bruce has a nice £3 million a year to look forward to. I will spit blood.
Wouldn't mind Hughes or O'Neil one of the two would do me perfectly. Right now I think it's necessary to just steady the boat and I only want someone who is proven capable of managing clubs in our position.
I reckon our next manager will be a yank and, Short is putting the wheels in motion albeit very slowly to make that happen.
Never heard much about a Yank manager part from the USA coach Bob something I think. Jurgen Klingsman now, used to be Bob Bradley, knew it.
Martin o Neill 's the absolute overwhelming choice for me. I don't even want to consider anything else.
before Keane i really really wanted MON, he was up for talks, had a tour of the stadium/AOL then he said NO, ppl say it was because his wife had cancer, but if that was the case, why come up at all, why not say no, sorry on the phone. Now MON can do one for me, i know he has a good record etc etc etc but he let us down in the past, so sod him for me. If we do get rid of Bruce i would like to see us get a youngish (not 30 but under 50) manager, I still would love Marco Van Basten, yes i know, its a very slim chance, but whilst there is still a chance...
