"I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the nerves and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the Southampton dream.

I have a dream that tomorrow this Club will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We are Southampton we are Premier League."

I have a dream that one day on the red and white hills of St Mary's the sons of former skates and the sons of former skate owners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day the state of Hampshire, a red and white state, sweltering with the skill of Lambert and Lallana, will be transformed into an oasis of Premier league football.

I have a dream that my four children will one day support a team where they will not be judged by the color of their shirt but by the fact that tomorrow we are Premier League.

    I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day the club of Southampton, whose the governor's lips are presently dripping with the words of wisdom and Adkinisms, will be transformed into a situation where little Pompey boys and Pompey girls will be able to join hands with little saints boys and Saints girls and walk together as sisters and brothers.

    I have a dream today.

This is our hope. This is the faith with which I return to the Southampton. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the man mountain of Jaidi a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling nerves of our support tomorrow into a beautiful symphony of "We are Southampton, We are Premier League!" With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, not to struggle in the premier league together, knowing that tomorrow we will be Premier League.

This will be the day when all of Saints's children will be able to sing with a new meaning, "My Club, 'tis of thee, sweet Club of Premier League, of thee I sing. Land where Markus died, land of the Hampshire pride, from every terrace, let the Lambert goals ring."

    (too much wine....)
