What is that to do with us you may well ask. Now he has the job at Fulham the Daily Mail says that he may try to re-unite the management team he enjoyed at Spurs and have Chris Hughton as his no. 2. That being the case it looks like Robins will become the favourite with Di Matteo falling at the last fence. Mind you if Hughton goes with that it shows a little lack of ambition. Having been numero uno at Newcastle you would have thought he would want to be boss man at his next club - or maybe he is more comfortable letting someone else take all the flak.
Morning BFB Interesting that, I read Hughton would be his number 2 but there isn't any mention from the BBC as of yet. Maybe they don't want to take the main headline form Martin Jol. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13678517.stm Who ever comes to Cardiff, I'm sure we'll back him whatever.
Hi Maesteg It is on the BBC Football Gossip section as well: - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/[/U] But as you rightly say, what or who ever.
Maybe sparky will come to Cardif. After all he says he has something to prove and what better way than getting a tream into the Prem that has just failed 3 years running? Despite what I read in some papers I don't beleive he resigned just to get the Villa job even if he does go there eventually. It was said Fulham made him work his notice to stop him going but when he resigned he agreed to work his notice, not forced. He would be well received and it would tell us the way the Malaysians are thinking. But is it likely??
I'm in a new office on 27th floor of Canary Wharf, the phones don't work, no mobile signal and now I see they've given me a PC that can't spell. just my bloody luck
Opinion divided on Sparkey but don't forget that he can't start work until the end of June. Would we really want to wait another 3 weeks or so ebfore getting our new man in? The transfer merrygoround is hotting up already and to have wait another 23/24 days before jumping on board would not be good. Xsnaggle - off to Baku on 25/6? You must have a job either related to the oil industry or you are going there to help preparations for next year's Eurovision Song Fix? Sooner you than me mate!!!!
Neither blue, but helping them spend some of their oil money. working on a project to build 3 32 storey high end appartment blocks with shopping malls and 3 basements of car parks etc. There are two Logistics guys running it now but it is getting too big so they need someone to head it up. Which idiot recommended me I do not know but I'll take their silly money. If you google Baku you find it isn't quite the wild west you expect, and its in the top 10 party capitals of the world. Not that would interest a quiet living single guy like me of course!!!!
Or a 35 year married guy like me!!! A mate of mine went out there to support Wales a few years ago. He had a great time and felt like he was a millionaire amongst the locals who had a pretty basic existence. I guess the oil revenue has helped boost their economy and lifestyles. I think one of the issues they will have with next years Eurovision is the lack of hotel space for the entourage who will descend for that awful function. Mind you some very attractive young ladies from all over Europe will attend so plenty of entertainment opportunities for good looking young gents with good living accomodation.
anyone with an ounce of ambition would drop down a division to be a number 1 as opposed to an assistant, i very much doubt hughton, given the choice between cardiff and fulham, would opt to be a coach.
