    Hello one and all,

Finally we have something to talk about. Just watched the press conference and have to say that I was impressed we the way handled himself. <doh>

He seemed to keep his cards to himself about transfers, saying that we would need to strenghten to cover the players who had left. He also mentioned that he was aware of some young players that were not known. Hoping he means players like Hoeson and Marsh Brown or Marquez Sanchez. RF, have you been anywhere near the training ground recently to see if the youngsters have been training ?

I was really impressed with the way that he is aproaching the Europa league qualifiers. He is looking at them as a build up to the premiership season, stating that he would normally play 7 friendlies over summer, so 8/9 qualifiers will be much the same. Really pleased to see him so pragmatic about the clubs immediate future.

Seems a nice bloke who is really keen to do well for us as a club, just what the doctor ordered.

    Welcome Martin Jol.

Yep. Somehow it already seems more welcoming and dare I say Fulhamish than Hughes.

Yeah I really like his persona, as rocky says he seems very fulhamish. Very much looking forward to seeing if he can really get the best out of dembele. Also noticed how he acknowledges the ageing nature of the squad so should be looking for some fresh faces as well as working with what is already a strong looking squad.

Absolutely agree. He came across as the perfect fit for us. Comfortable and relaxed in a way that Hughes never was. Knows we need to get the age of the squad down and wants to invest in players. Also seems content to stay for the long haul. Very encouraging. In Martin we trust (or I do anyway).

at least MAF wasn't throwing around fifties and making him smile....that was cheesy. Please MAF did himself and us a favour and removed himself.

His final comment of building a team for the future is very interesting. Also like the approach on the Europa League games "friendly with a serious touch". That's how I will see it next week!!

Lets hope that the trip to the Faroes,is to get through to the next round,
and not on scouting mission, for goalkeepers.

Maybe we can have The Terminator theme as the opening music at CC? Or maybe a mash up of 'I'm Back' and 'Bad' by MJ?

I'm back, I'm back, I'm really really back?

    You know you want to...
