Heard on the radio this morning that Fulham are thinking Jol's position following a rift with the academy staff...

Did a search and found he is topping the list of managers to be sacked on skybet!

I am just surprised on this especially following three relatively good displays one capped with a win against a strong Everton side...

Just to complete the story Gus Poyet tops the odds to succeed him:

And to close with a questions to those who visit the training ground, do you get a sense of unrest as reported or just cheap journalism?

I don't know about the rift rumours, but he's been top of the sack list since Di Canio went, at least.

    I tkink the story started in The Times who reported that;

"..problems between the academy staff and manager that they attempted to patch up at a meeting this week"

The main article is that Jol's job is under threat and to be honest most of it is not original, except that bit about a rift with Academy staff, who I'd guess were primarily the ex-Southampton duo Huw Jenkins and Steve Wigley. [Kit Symons tends to follow very much Jol's style]. The article does not say what the rift was about or the outcome.

Again more guessing, but the three possible bone's of contention would be:

    1) Jol talking publicly (the Fulham Chronicle stuff) about the young players 'needing to do more'

    2) Young players not getting sufficient opportunity to break through

    3) Jol's policy of short term loans

I try and go down the training ground once or twice a week.
The pace and enthusiasm amongst the under 21s and 18, together with their coaching staff
seems much more intense, and hands on, and lets be quite honest this is without doubt the most talented group
we have ever had at Craven Cottage.
Hew Jennings & Steve Wigley are the envy of most premiership clubs, and look at the talent they discovered at
Southampton, at a club like ours we must buy of course, but to develop our own must be paramount. We have
allready had offers for 6 of our youngsters from the big boys, including a reported 1mil from Man U for Dembele & Roberts.
Jol must be given more time, but i feel that the results of our next 4 games could be a deciding factor in any managerial changes.

Normally I'd say rumors like these, that Jol is endanger of getting sacked, are nothing but rubbish - UK rags trying to fill a slow news day with idle speculation. But my assumption that such rumors are false is based entirely on club history with MAF; Chairman Mo would never make a rash, knee-jerk decision like canning Jol so early in the season.

But we have a new owner now ... who knows how much patience this guy has.

This is all getting a little stupid. Let's leave the guy to get on with the job, not go down the revolving doors route to a mirage of success.

Three points tomorrow and no Boos.

Agree with you on this Gera. I wish Jol all the best and hope that he can dig us out of this recent down turn in form. The second half performance against Everton sounded superb and it sounded as though the players were fighting for the win. Irrespective of whether Jols position is in jeopardy the players performing is what counts. They have to step it up and give everything for the 3 points.

    Come on lads, believe
