Chris Wilder as officially left Oxford United and Martin Allen has quickly been installed as favourite to get the Oxford job! Would do a job with them and wouldn't be surprised to see them promoted with MA. Any thoughts or anyone not expect him to get it? I myself will be laying a tenner now on him! He could do very well there, although it seems his real ability is in getting teams fit, he might need a while to turn it around.
I found that decision really bizzare. Oxford are up around the playoffs and the team he's been in charge of for 5 years and he leaves them for a team who are fighting to stave off relegation to the Conference. Madness!
I noted on an Oxford site yesterday, that there was hardly any mention of MA, although someone did mention him and said they could only see him for the short term... What's left of the season...4 months?...I think that is all it took him to move out our young players....my advice would be if you want promotion he's your man, just be prepared to pick up the pieces afterwards.
