Martin Allen leaves

I was shocked to see that he has left to join Notts County after this short spell at the club.

I'm not a Barnet fan (As you might be able to tell!) but when I did hear the news I was a bit surprised. He had been there about 3 weeks and had only been in charge for three games. But he was on non-contract terms and I did see an interview where he said, like many other people, he has got bills to play. So you can understand his reasoning. However, it does show the lack of loyalty in football nowadays.

 

Yeah definatly shows he was not loyal to them.

 

Yeah, and I did read somewhere that Martin Allen left Barnet a few weeks before the end of the season to go and join Brentford a good few years ago. So, he's probably not the most loved man in Barnet right now...

 

Yeah I heard the same on Late Kick Off that this is not the first time he has left a club quick, He about 5 Years ago left a team after like 5 games I think it was Leicester.

 

To be fair, I think he was sacked at Leicester. I'm not 100% sure about that though.

 

Yeah it was mutual, But he does have a record of leaving Barnet so he is not very loyal. Would be gutted if I was a Barnet fan.

 

Especially cos he wos draggin them away from BSP as well! But what happened to Paul Fairclough, he was doing a decent job

 

Yeah, I don't know. Maybe he will be back again now to do the job to save them. He Knows what he is doing.
