WBA need to be told we are not interested in selling. They dont want to pay £5m. For me thats nowhere near his value. I reckon hes worth 10-15 points for us and wouldnt consider talking unless we get a bid of double that.
I think the board and management deserve a pat on the back for saying they did not want to loose him. Obviously everyone has their price however they haven't sold him because their evaluation has not been met? We are moving on gentlemen and gone are the days when we are paying inflated prices for mediocre players or selling on the cheap. What we need to do is improve the networks and knowledge of our scouting network. Investment here may be the answer in the long term for success, and before anyone has a shot at this comment I take no pleasure in suggesting we take a leaf out of our cousins down the road when it comes to learning those skills.
