Having seen him return early from his loan to Dundee Utd, the club have issued a terse statement that Marsh-Brown and FFC have parted company (read sacked) - http://http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/News/NewsArticles/2011/November/KMBDeparts.aspx Silly boy, and a waste of talent.
This is disappointing news for us. I had always heard that he thought very highly of himself, perhaps too highly. He had quite a few appearances for England at youth level and had been a real prospect for us. What the hell he thought he was doing nicking from his team mates is beyond me. Elliott Omosuzi, another huge talent that we let go, was banged up recently as well for gang related crimes. These youngsters are being given opportunities that most people would die for, such a shame they blow it. I still play sunday league football around SW6 area and it pains me to say it, but the there has been a lot of trouble at games involving very young teams. There have been several incidences recently where players have ended up in hospital from fighting. I cannot tell you how many times I have spoken to opposition managers about some their talented young players and I get this response : They used to play in the Ipswich youth set up ( or other teams ) but got dropped because of their attitude. You can see it in their game play. It needs a strong arm around these young men to keep them on the straight and narrow.
